Chapter 111

"What is this?" Boxy swept his arm toward me when I walked into Sunray's garage later that morning. "I haven't seen you awake and properly caffeinated so early in the morning in, well, forever. Are you...okay?"

"Yep, I've had enough coffee to make it to my mid-morning coffee." If I didn't time travel beforehand, that is. "And I didn't sleep a wink last night."

Boxy's one good eye went saucer-wide as he backed away slowly. "I'm stepping away from Ms. No-Winks Vic. Just remember I'm one of the good guys."

I laughed as I adjusted my backpack full of time-travel gear. My tiny purse just wouldn't cut it. "I'm fine, really. I didn't need to sleep because I already slept. One of the perks of time travel." I paused, my extra-large coffee halfway to my mouth. "I'm not that bad, am I?"

"Of course not." He contorted his face into a look of terror - a teasing look of terror.

I laughed harder until my belly ached. "Note to self, drink more caffeine and get more sleep for Boxy's sake."
