Chapter 19

Aaron stood in the doorway. His blue eyes locked with Cole's hazel. His brother smiled.

"What's with that face? You didn't miss me?" He asked Aaron. More so taunting the Omega.

He came up to Aaron, embracing him.

"It's been FAR too long". He whispered into his ear.

Turning to the servants Cole gave a radiating smile.

"Would you all mind if I spoke to my little brother alone?" Cole asked the staff who were waiting around in the back. They all gave a look at one another then slowly left. Anna being the last one out looked back at Aaron as she shut the door.

The two were completely alone.

Once confirmed they were the only two Cole's face dropped to a cold expression.

Aaron knew his brother well. He was good at putting up a facade; A golden tongue that could impress even high nobles.

His true nature was dark. He had taken after their father, turning himself into a cruel Alpha.

"I'm not Here for pleasantries Aaron so let's cut to the chase.".

"Of course" Aaron mumbled.

Cole flopped down in one of the chairs, making himself at home.

"I've come on our father's behalf." He scratched his head, lifting his feat and propping them up on the table in front of him.

"He wants to k ow where his money is." He glowered at his brother.

"What money?" Aaron glared back.

Cole let out a chuckle.

"Surly you're messing with me little brother. The money! When you get pregnant with the thing and they pay us, as a family, a lump sum for using that uterus of yours."

Aaron was disgusted. His older brother was very curt. Not to mention lacked tact.

The Omega bit back.

"Well what do you think?"

Cole swung his feet back to the floor.

"I'd watch that fucking mouth of yours." He pointed his index finger.

"We need that money".

Aaron Scoffed quietly.

"You really havn't changed have you?"

Cole stood up and walked around the table, straight up to Aaron's face.

Aaron, startled, stumbled to take a step back.

"I'm not playing around. We all agreed didn't we? That once dad and I got paid that we would give a sum for you and mom?"

Aaron's eyes softened.

"That's right. You and mom would be able to leave. That's what you want isn't it? To leave and go far away? Wasn't that the little dream of yours?"

Cole gave an eerie smile, his hands pressing down on Aaron's shoulders.

Aaron looked down.

Cole leaned closer to Aaron.

"So if that's what you still want then why is it taking so long?" He whispered in Aaron's ear.

"It's not that hard for you Omega's."

He continued whispering low.

"All you have to do is open your legs for the young Lord and we can be set...for...life".

Aaron felt his anxiety raising.

"Oh and who is this?" A casual voice came from the doorway of the foyer.

Both brothers snapping their heads towards the voice.

Zeke stood in the main doorway. Holding a gentleman's hat in one hand and unbuttoning his coat with the other.

Cole backed off.

"Hello sir! My name is Cole Winters. I have come to pay my younger brother a visit."

He smiled placing his arm around Aaron's shoulders.

"Is that so..?" Zeke looked at the pair. He handed his jacket and hat off to a butler.

"Of course with the permission of Lord Fletch himself."

Zeke walked into the room shutting the door behind him.

"I didn't realize my father was a heartwarming person to bring a family back together."

Aaron could see there was no warmth in zeke's expression.

"You mind letting him go?" Zeke gestured at Cole's arm.

He released Aaron.

"Lord Fletch saw it reasonable to let me visit my little brother. To lift his spirits as it should. I happened to hear he may have been giving your family a hard time. I'm here to set him straight like when we were younger, isn't that right Aaron?"

Aaron didn't move. He didn't know if he should be angry about the lies Cole was spewing out or anxious to finally see Zeke after all this time.

"Is that so?" Zeke gave a soft smile.

It was starting to feel dangerous.

Zeke walked to the sitting area. He sat down crossing one leg over the other.

"Don't mind me, please continue".

He stared into Cole.

Cole, feeling the tension, turned to Aaron.

"Well brother I have other duties to attend to, I hope you call upon me again!"

Waving himself out: Cole was gone.

Aaron felt he could finally take a breath.

"Your brother huh?"

Zeke asked.

"Uh, yea."

"What a lying bastard". Zeke spat.

Aaron hadn't Zeke angry like this.

"I don't know how he weasel his way in to talk to you but it's not happening again".

Aaron didn't speak. He just took in the sight of the young Alpha. Having been over a month since the last time he laid eyes on him.

Zeke noticed the Omega staring.

"Been a while huh?" He smiled.

He stood up

"I'm going to be the first to speak then: I'm sorry Aaron".

Zeke placed his hand on Aaron's shoulder.

"I wasn't myself then."

Aaron grit his teeth.

He opened his mouth to speak but was interrupted.

"I was able to get your message out."

Aaron's expression softened.

"My message? You mean my letter?"

Zeke nodded.

"How?! Zane had my letter in hand after-"

"I had someone copy your letter. I would naturally have this done and the origional destroyed however Zane happened to..." He drifted while talking.

"Is that why you left?" Aaron asked.

Zeke sighed.

"I wasn't around for a different reason, but you don't have to worry yourself about it".

Aaron smirked.

Zeke continued.

"I have news about your letter though."

Aaron's ears perked up.

"Are you sure you ga e me the correct address?"

Aaron seemed puzzled.

"I'm more than sure. That's the address it has always been."

Zeke had a perplexed look on his face.

"This person, Clara, they say she didn't live there. Or a matter of fact she has never lived there nor have they heard of her."

Aaron's eyes widened.

"I mean it's possible you've gotten the address wrong and-"

"No."

Zeke looked at the Omega.

Aaron spoke up.

"That's where he left her at. That's where he dropped her off and never went back for her."

Zeke cocked his head.

"He who?"

"My father". Aaron answered.

There was a bit of hesitation that crossed Zekes face.

"Who did he drop off?"

Aaron wanted to tell him but he bit his tongue.

Putting two and two together Zeke asked again.

"By chance is this woman Clara...your mother?"

Hearing the word made the tears flow from Aaron's eyes.

Zekes expression turned cold.
