Chapter 13 - Andrew

I was laying in my bed holding the two stuff animals that Adom won for me yesterday. My heart started to race and I smiled.

'I can't wait until I go on another date with him.' I thought.

RING!! RING!!

I sit up, find my phone, and turned it on to see a message from Adom...well three.

Adom: I had fun at the fair with you.

Adom: we should do this again some time.

The third text was from this morning and I felt my face begin to smile as well as blush.

Adom: how about tonight? Only I want to choose what our next date is going to be.

I unplug myself, go down stairs, and go into the kitchen to see my mothers at the table smiling and holding hands.

"Mom, mother B."

They look at me with the same smiles on their faces.

"Yes Andrew?" asked mother.

"Adom wants to take me on a date tonight and I want to know if its okay?"

"Of course its okay." mother B said.

I smile, thanked them, and went back to my room. When I got to my room I pick my phone up and texted Adom.

Andrew: hey...if you still want to go on that date then I can because my mothers said I could.

I sit in my. Ed, set my phone on my nightstand, and held my stuff animals close. When I thought he wasn't going to answer me my phone goes off. I pick it up to see it's a text from him.

Adom: yeah I can still do that. But my mother wants to meet you...is that okay?

I sit there and think. Did i want to meet his mom? Is she nice? I start to get scared but i knew i was going to meet her sooner or later.

Andrew: sure! That's fine by me.

Adom: great! I'll see you in a few minutes

My heart did a little jump but I started to get ready. I wear the same thing only it was a black shirt and a red plaid shirt. Once I was ready the door bell rang and I run down the stairs. My mother takes my arm and takes me to the front door. Adom is standing by the door with a white shirt, a tan jacket that goes to his knees, blue Jean's and some boots.

"Okay off you two go!" mother B says.

"Bring him home with a smile on his face." mother says.

"I will."

I feel my face turn red and I tell my mothers goodbye. When we were outside Adom turned to me, kisses the top of my head, takes my hand and walks me to the car.

"A-Adom?"

"Yes Andrew?"

"W-Where are we going?"

"Well first mom wants me to go to the mall." he opens the passenger door for me. I get in and he goes back to the driver side to get in.

"Then we're going back to my house so you can meet my mom, then we're going to eat and hopefully it will be close to the time for our date."

"What are we doing on out date?"

"You'll see."

I look at him but he doesn't look at me as he drives. I look out the window. Will his mom like me? She's happy that I'm making him happy, right?

'Damn it Andrew stop making yourself think that your not good for him! He's the one that's not good for you! He's way out of your-'

"We're here."

I look out the window to see people coming in and out of a building.

"O-okay let's go."

"By the way...when's your birthday?"

I turn around to see Adom looking back at me. He asked me a question that I never thought he was going to ask.

"I-it's tomorrow."

Hes face doesn't change but his eye changes from brown to a light blue.

"Okay...let's go."

We get out of the car, he holds my hand and we walk into the mall. When we're inside Adom takes me to the men clothes aisle. He turns to me and I could see he was nervous and his eye turned brown.

"I-I have to get something for my sister and I don't want you to see-"

"Is it a present for her?"

He looks at me and his eye turns light blue.

"Uh...yeah and I don't know if you can keep a secret..."

"Oh...no I really can't," I start to fidget," you should, maybe, get her a sketch book, with some art stuff."

He looks at me with a confused look.

"Why? She doesn't like to draw and she says she's not good."

"Oh," I felt my face heat up," I thought she was into something like that...plus...that's something I would want."

"Oh...well I should go get...that thing Vic needs me to get her...could you stay here in this area?"

"Sure...I'll just look around...in this area."

"Okay...I'll see you in a few minutes."

He walks away and I start looking at the cloths. I wish I had brought some money with me so I could buy something for Adom.

"Dude, you need to chill out...your getting pissed over something st-"

"I don't care," a voice hissed," he had no right to kiss Andrew."

I then knew who's voice that was so I hide in some close that are hanging on a rack. I peek from them to see Winston and the boy from the restroom.

"Winston...he may not like you because he doesn't have feelings for you."

Winston turns to look at him with fire in his eyes.

"Drake I've told you. He's. A. Ro. Bot. And I say he's better with someone like me. I can give him everything he could dream of-"

"Why can't you see that I have feelings for you?"

Winston eyes go wide and I have to bit my tongue. How could anyone like someone like Winston.

"Y-you have feelings for me?"

"Yes! I always th-"

Winston starts laughing and places his hands on Drake's shoulders.

"You've got to be kidding. Look at you. You must be easy on the eyes but your not good enough for me to date."

"Fine! If you want to be like that then I don't want to be friends anymore."

"Okay...fine by me."

Winston walks away and Drake falls to his knees. I came out from behind the cloths and crawl to Drake.

"H-hey."

He turns to look at me and his face showed anger but his eyes showed sadness.

"W-what do you want?"

I pull him into a hug and he doesn't push me away.

"I'm sorry...you shouldn't be crying over someone like him...he's not worth it."

"Thank you."

And I just hold him and he starts to cry again. I couldn't help but feel sorry for Drake.

"Andrew?"

I look up to see Adom with a confused and surprised look in his face. I let Drake go (who has a scared look on his face) and get in front of him.

"Adom...this is-"

"I know who he is? What were you-"

"Because he confessed to Winston that he loved him and Winston broke his heart."

"Oh...hey man I'm sorry. Want to just hang out with me and Andrew?"

I look back at Drake. He shakes his head no.

"Th-thanks for that...but I'll have my mother come pick me up."

"O-okay...just know if you need a table to sit at when we're in school you can always sit with us."

"Thanks Andrew."

Drake gets up and walks away. I turn to Adom to see him smiling, his eye was yellow and a bad in his hand.

"What's in the bag?"

"I can't tell you...remember?"

I just roll my eyes and take Adom's other hand in mine. We walk around the store and buy food that his mother wanted him to buy. Then he took me to the candy store and bought me candy.

"Th-this is um...it feels like a bit much...I feel like I have to get you something."

"You don't have to plus...things like winning prizes at a fair and buying you candy doesn't seem like much to me."

My face begins to heat up and we leave the mall. We put the food in the back of the car, got in, and Adom drives us to his house. This whole way I was thinking 'what was Drake doing?'.
