DAWN had broken and the Sybils found horses at the next village they arrived at. The end of their journey was nigh and for some reason, Nyla felt more chippy than usual. If anything, it was beginning to annoy her fellow Sybils. She could not wait to see her father and brother after so many months apart. She imagined them to be busy discussing some kind of issue in the counsel room when she arrived. She’d smile and call out to them, and they’d raise their heads and smile back.
