Desert's Hell

After leaving Sera's house, she and Rael went to the One Guild's building.

There, Sera asked her assistant, Leo to get the details of the dungeon that the guild had recently found.

It was a 2-floor B-Grade Dungeon, but it was filled with strong monsters and had many traps.

Leo told her that the guild had tried to send their members in the dungeon, but, they couldn't even reach the second floor and had to retreat.

They had to collaborate with the other guilds to kill some of the monsters and clear the first floor.

The monsters on the first floor were mostly Goblins, but there were also Ogres and Orcs.

But the second floor was filled with monsters like Demons, Minotaurs and Trolls.

And because there was a Level limit of 50 for the dungeon, no one had yet gone past the first floor.

This dungeon was called Desert's Hell.

"You want me to clear this dungeon?" Rael asked.

"Yes, I am." Sera continued, "Didn't you say you were the Demon King or something? So, how difficult can it be for you to clear this dungeon, Mr. Demon King."

She was mocking him.

Rael just smiled and replied, "If you want then I will do it."

"Then, I will make the arrangements," Leo spoke up but Sera stopped him.

"No, you don't have to," she said.

"What? Why? Aren't we sending one of our team with him?" Leo asked.

"No, we aren't. He is going alone."

"What?" Leo was taken aback.

"Didn't you hear what I said? He is going alone. Or do you want me to write it down?" she repeated.

"N-no, that isn't necessary," Leo replied, a bit flustered.

"Then, let's go, Rael." Sera got up from her chair and walked towards the door.

"W-wait, where are you going, Ms. Sera?" Leo asked.

"To see him off, of course. He is going alone, so I have to see him off. Why are you asking such a question?" she replied, not bothering to look back.

Leo looked at Rael and saw him smiling, as if he was amused by the situation.

'Does he not know he is gonna die if he goes alone in the dungeon?' Leo thought.

But, he just sighed and said, "Take care of yourself, sir."

"Don't worry about me. I will be fine," Rael said.

He didn't know why Sera was behaving this way.

But he was happy, at least, she acting like how she did in her first life, when they first met.

'Well, that's a good sign. I will have to work hard to make her mine again,' he thought.

He wanted to get close to her and the best way to do it was to go through the dungeon and impress her.

He also knew that the Sera he remember wouldn't be impressed easily, so, he had to do something extraordinary.

'I guess, I have an idea of what to do,' Rael smirked, and walked out of the office, following behind Sera.

But, unbeknownst to him, Sera had different thoughts, 'I am going to make sure he never comes back from that dungeon.'

She was going to see him off because she wanted to get him away from her.

She was still bothered by the dream she had last night and she wanted him gone.

The image of Rael making love to her kept popping up in her mind and it was distracting her.

She didn't know why she was thinking about him this way.

'Why am I feeling like this?'

'Is it because I had a wet dream about him? Is that why I am acting this way?'

'It's his fault. If he wasn't here, I wouldn't be having these thoughts.'

She wondered maybe he had used some kind of magic on her.

'Maybe he has a skill that makes women attracted to him. That must be it.'

But, the truth was, her body had already decided for her. She just didn't know it yet.

She may have lost her memories of him, but, her body still remembered his touch.

And, her heart was slowly falling for him again, even though she wasn't aware of it.

Now that her subconscious was awakened, it was only a matter of time before she fell for him.

So, she was going to send him away. She didn't want him near her.

And sending Rael to the Desert's Hell could also be counted as a test.

She was curious to know how much strength he possessed.

She also wanted to see if he could survive the dungeon and if he was worthy of her.

If Rael don't come back then he wouldn't have to bother her anymore.

And, if he did manage to return, then he would be worthy enough to stand beside her.

It was a win-win situation for her.

She was going to kill two birds with one stone.

But, deep inside, she didn't want Rael to die. She was secretly hoping he would survive the dungeon.

Even though she didn't remember him, her subconscious still loved him and wanted him alive.

However, the rational side of her didn't care if he lived or died.

But, the rational side had no chance of winning.

Because love always wins over reason.

"We are here," Leo announced.

Sera and Rael were standing in front of the Desert's Hell dungeon.

After riding some distance from the guild, they had arrived at their destination.

Dungeon Desert's Hell.

It was located near the desert.

The desert was a vast and open space, covered with sand and there were many rocks scattered around.

Rael had read the information about the dungeon, he knew there were 2 floors in the dungeon.

The first floor was full of monsters like goblins and orcs, and the second floor had demons, minotaurs and trolls but also had unidentified traps.

"Are you sure you want to go alone, sir?" Leo asked Rael, concerned.

"Yes, I am sure," Rael replied.

"Don't worry about him. He is a big boy," Sera said.

"O-okay, Ms. Sera," Leo replied.

"I will be going now," Rael said and looked at Sera.

A soft smile appeared across his lips.

'What is he thinking about? His smile looks... warm.' Sera couldn't help but wonder.

She wanted to look away, but, his gaze held her in place.

"Seems like this thing has caused you a bit of trouble," Rael spoke up, breaking the silence between them.

"So, I will clear it in a bit and be back. So, don't worry," he added.

And just as he finished speaking, a wave of wind blew towards him, his silvery hair swaying in the wind.

His blue eyes shone brightly under the sun.

And the white skin of his face shone with the sunlight reflecting off it.

His handsome face was filled with determination.

Sera felt her heart skip a beat, her breath hitched, and her heart began to race.

She couldn't understand what she was feeling.

'Why do I feel this way?'

'And his voice, his words, his smile, everything seems so familiar.'

'Why does it seem like I have seen him before?'

"Wait for me, Sera," Rael's words were filled with promise.

"See you soon."

Rael turned around and walked towards the dungeon entrance.

The entrance was a black hole, with blue edge, which was also rotating in a clockwise manner.

And just as Rael was about to step into the entrance, a grip on his sleeve stopped him, and a voice followed after it,

"W-wait,"

He looked at the person who was grabbing his sleeve and saw Sera.

"Don't go," She pleaded.

"Huh?"

"Don't go. Please, don't go. Please stay here."

She looked desperate, as if she didn't want him to go.

"I-is it that hard to listen to me?"

She asked, but deep inside her heart she was regertting her words.

'Why did I say that?'

'Why did I stop him? I should have let him go.'

She couldn't understand her own emotions.

"Please stay," she pleaded again.

But, Rael just looked at her flustered face, her teary eyes and the desperation in her voice.

A wide smile appeared on his lips.

"Don't worry, I will come back."

Saying so, he grabbed her hand and placed a kiss on it.

"I will be back, my princess," he promised.

Sera blushed furiously, her heart beating rapidly.

"Y-you. Who are you calling a princess?"

"Oh, is that so? Then, I guess I should call you my queen."

"You-you!" Sera was blushing and flustered.

Rael chuckled, and, let go of her hand.

"Just go back and wait for me, okay? I will come back as soon as possible."

And he stepped into the dungeon, leaving a flustered Sera behind.

As soon as he entered the dungeon, the blue edges stopped rotating and the entrance vanished, leaving nothing behind.

Sera stared at the place where the dungeon's entrance was, and then looked at the hand Rael had kissed.

'How could he do that? Didn't he know how much power I hold?'

'How dare he call me a princess? And a queen?'

She felt a bit angry, and embarrassed.

But, despite all that, her heart felt warm and fuzzy, and, she couldn't help but smile.

'Be safe, my Demon King,' her heart whispered.

Little did she know, that they had forgotten to give Rael something very important.

"Ms. Sera," Leo's voice pulled her out of her thoughts.

"Y-yes?"

"I forgot to give him a dungeon card. He can't leave the dungeon without it. Now, he will have to either clear the dungeon or stay there forever."

"What did you say?" Sera glared at Leo, who was now trembling under her gaze.
