Sebastian grabbed a shirt from his bed and hastily stuffed it into his bag. He could feel Victoria's eyes burning into him, but he kept his head down, unwilling to meet her gaze.
"Sebastian, please," she begged, her voice cracking. "What did I do to deserve this? I just want to understand."
Sebastian's fingers clenched around the strap of his bag, his knuckles white with tension. He knew he couldn't face her right now.
As Sebastian fled the room, Victoria felt her heart break into a million pieces. She stood there, frozen, unable to move or speak.
In the silence, she could hear the clock ticking on the wall, each second feeling like an eternity.
Finally, she took a shaky breath and forced herself to move. She grabbed her coat and ran out the door, calling after him. "Sebastian, please stop!" she pleaded, her voice hoarse. "We can talk this out, I promise."
