Breaking Point

I flinched as he squeezed harder making pain shoot up my arm. I tried to pull my arm away quickly, but he wouldn't let go.

"You! You f**king ruined everything!" he screamed at me, digging his fingernails into my skin. I couldn't breathe.

"Let her go, now," Liam ordered, looking so angry that it actually scared me.

My father turned to face him, still holding me tightly. "Fuck you! She's my daughter," he spat, pulling on my arm, making me lose my footing and stumble closer to him. I could smell the alcohol on his breath, making me feel sick. I twisted and pulled on my arm, trying to get free. He still didn't let go so I put my hand on his chest and shoved him as hard as I could. He didn't budge an inch. I saw his hand move and I closed my eyes knowing he was going to hit me.
