(A.N Sorry, guys, for the slow updates recently. I have been busy with my mundane life, which is why I have not been posting, but I will try as much as possible to release at least one chapter per day. Oh, and guys, please comment on the novel and tell me what you think about the chapters, because I need more of those than anything. Thank You)

So now that we are done with how I was able to secure the capital, let's get to the part about how I made some serious dough.

So from the month of September all the way to the middle of October, I was securing food and paying my loans, but the money had become trash because no one could buy anything with it.

So, being the generous guy, I decided to start the barter trading business. To be honest, the economy of America had not become so broken to result in this, but hungry people were out there.

Being an entrepreneur, I decided to carry out the barter trading system. People will exchange pieces of jewelry and other valuable products for some of my food services. I still had bakeries who were cooking for me at a loss, meat suppliers, provisions, and a whole lot of food ingredients.

The best part was the fact that I was not paying taxes. I was not paying taxes because the business I was operating was a simple exchange program, and the tax officials did not know how to task me.

Uncle Ken was also doing great due to the business I was running in his shops, and the best part was that I was secured 24/7. No police dared to even step into his shop in the first place, and Uncle Ken, being a bar owner, had strings to pull, so I had no problem operating this business.

So for the next 2 months, I was just receiving and exchanging goods and still receiving deliveries. My steak business had become more popular because I exchanged steak for simple household goods such as televisions, PlayStations, and others.

On December 25, things began to recover bit by bit because the natural disasters had stopped, but still, something felt different. The atmosphere feels to have something magical in it.

The continents seemed to have expanded, and a lot of islands had appeared out of nowhere. But the most shocking fact was that snow had not fallen even once in any place in the world.

At this point, people were beginning to accept the fact that something called Mana had appeared on Earth, which caused the changes. It was not proven though, but the changes could not be explained scientifically. But with the help of Web novels, cartoons, conspiracy theories, anime, and visual novels, people were leaning towards that part.

There were a lot of riots, chaos, and anarchy in the already-destroyed world, but nothing was changing as the days ticked towards the end of 2024. For the first time since 1999, people feared that maybe the world would be destroyed on the first day of 2025.

So there was no anticipation for that year, but people still hoped deep down in their hearts that they would survive.

But I thought differently; I was now waiting to see if it would be a gate, a tower, or both. What do you guys think?
