The Doll and a Diet

"So Cynthia," Evan quipped, trying to change the direction of the conversation back to his sister. "Can you tell us how life is abroad?"

Cynthia's icy-blue eyes widened, and her round cheeks appeared to look like plump tomatoes as she grinned widely.

"I thought you would never ask!"

Oh, how Cynthia loved it so much when attention was given to her. 

Evan noticed this since they were kids: Cynthia tended to be quite an attention seeker, though not in a bad way, as odd as it may sound. She was just the type of kid to seek praise and validation from other people, getting some sort of high from it. 

Evan thought she'd grown out of it as she grew older, but she didn't.

Cynthia absolutely thrived in it.
