The Owner and the Doll Ain't Fooling Anyone

As the afternoon slowly arrived, Cynthia yawned, signaling that the jet lag had finally caught up to her.

"I know it's still the afternoon, but I'm getting sleepy," she said, stretching and stifling a yawn. "Is it alright if I nap for an hour?"

"Of course," Evan said. "I'll show you to your room."

"Thank you for the tea, Eternity!" Cynthia smiled at her. "Oh, that rhymed!"

Eternity chuckled. "You're welcome, Cynthia."

Evan guided Cynthia to the guest room while Eternity began cleaning the teacups that the siblings had just finished. While cleaning, she noticed that Cynthia had left her phone on the coffee table.

Eternity quirked an eyebrow, walking toward the coffee table to get the device. 

She headed to the guest room where Cynthia would stay for the night and was about to knock on the door when she heard suspicious, hushed voices inside. 

She leaned closer to the door and began eavesdropping.
