Chapter Seven – Heart Of The Macedonian
Jade stood in his room , with his shirt off , he was in his curse form , his heart stone shining bright red he could see through the empty space left between the uneven red stone and the hole in the chest
- For this long… You’ve never got tired of me – A female voice spoke in echo
- Why would I … after all , you’re the only one who sticks around … I just wish I could free you… - Jade placed his hands on the stone , blasting an energy on it from close range.
- You know that will never happen right? – a blue silhouette appeared behind Jade
- One can only dream – Jade said in disappointed voice .
- you want to set me free – She looked away – but where would I go?
- Reincarnate maybe? – Jade looked at her
- look … I do understand that you blame yourself but , its no use putting your self down, we can’t change this , so at least get used to it… - She answered.
- Jaya… Im a horrible person. I’ve lived with guilt and shame for as long as I remember… - he turned around , picking up a chalice, taking a big sip.
- Drinking in the morning? – Jaya said playfully
- Summerian – Jade wiped the drink off of his lips and sat down on bed
- What’s that? Are you okay? – Jaya got nervous.
- It’s just… - Jade said
- Oh I understand… – Jaya realized what was going on , sat next to him – you don’t have to tell me..- She smiled
Xelo came rushing in the room , as soon as he saw shirtless jade and jaya sitting next to each other, he stopped took a step back looking away.
- Ohh. Oh , I’m sorry I didn’t mean to intrude.
- Don’t be silly – Jade answered , snapped fingers and coat materialized around him
Jaya looked at Xelo , smiled and said
- We’re just very old friends … I’m Jaya
Xelos eyes widened , he looked at Jade , then back at Jaya.
- This is her? – he wiped his eyes – A girl that you ….
- Alright that’s enough… “Jaya – Xelo , Xelo - Jaya” – He was pointing at them as he said their names, introducing them to each other. – This is the spirit that is always with me, yes…
- That’s so cool.
Both jaya and jade looked at each Xelo, asking “cool?” at the same time.
- Yeah, like two of the most ancient living beings are in my presence… what else could I say.
- I mean he’s got a point – Jaya looked at Xelo.
- Why are you in that – Xelo was swirling his hand up and down – Shape?
- Well , thank you… I work out – Jade answered in sarcasm
Xelo’s face went blank
- Chill, I’m joking – Jade took serious tone. – Well , I was just looking at my … Stone – Jade grabbed the red stone and took it out of the hole , handing it to Xelo – here…
- What are you doing? – Xelo got confused.
- Im pretty sure he’s just handing you his heart… - Jaya looked as confused as Xelo
- Well , you’re obsessed with antiquities , so this is the most ancient stone , you’ll ever touch... – Jade narrowed his eyes – I believe it comes from the asteroid that made dinosaurs extinct? – He smiled
Xelo lifted his eyebrows in surprise
- Holly – he said , taking the stone in his hands. – really?
- Please don’t break my heart… - Jade answered in sarcasm again , you could tell how annoyed Xelo was by his face.- Ofcourse not – jade continued – The stone is not even from this dimension, Like where would an Indian mage, find a stone from the crater that is located in south America... – Jade was irritated by how gullible Xelo was
- Weren’t you the historian one? – Jaya was mocking Xelo.
- No fair... It’s two against one… - Xelo said shoving the heart back in Jades chest
- Careful… You could kill me – Jade Made another joke
- Really? – Xelos voice changed – I’m sorry.
- Is there anything you don’t fall for? – Jaya asked Xelo

- Look, If killing me was that easy, trust me I’d do it myself back when Empire fell.
Xelos face changed, he realized the sadness behind Jades voice.
- For centuries, I roamed the earth , Searching for wars, to dive in head first, to get the satisfaction of death… - Jade continued – But at the end… Couldn’t , there’s only one way to kill me , And no one has managed it.
Xelos awkwardly walked towards jade
- I mean I don’t know how it got this dark this quick but… - Are you okay?
Jade made a small laugh
- I believe it’s the booze talking …
- You said there’s only one way to kill you… may I ask?- Xelo put his hand on Jade’s Shoulder.
Jade looked back with curious face.
- You just met me… and you’re already thinking about ways to kill me? I mean, it has been how much… two days ? Three days? What are you my ex? – Jade didn’t lose the sarcasm
- No.. What? I … I just asked. – Xelo began to stutter.
- Calm down , he’s joking again – Jaya comforted Xelo.
- Well , if you insist - Jade took out his heart stone again – this is “Laal Patthar” , it means red stone in Hindi , the stone keeps this crystal form no matter what, It has been broken and fixed many times…
- Okay Jade… If you don’t wanna be serious , atleast don’t waste my time on silly jokes – Xelo was getting annoyed.
- This time he’s speaking the truth – Jaya leaned on the wall.
- Well, I did deserve that – Jade replied – Anyways, if generated enough energy… And directed to this stone… it may break permanently … - He said , then he laughed sarcastically and smashed the stone
- W… What are you… - Xelo took a step forwad towards jade
Shards levitated in air going back to it’s original form , Jade held on to single shard that didn’t get to the crystal form, he turned around , handing it to xelo, Xelo took it from jade’s hand with confused face.
- Huh?
- well… Keep this with you , I mean, I saved you twice… Im sure there will be a need for third time… - Jade was mocking Xelo.
- Come on… - Xelo tried it to hand it to jade
- I mean it… - Jade smiled
- Oh… - Xelo made an awkward face. – But will this not return to the crystal itself?
- Open your palm
Xelo did what Jade asked, The shard was laying on his hand…
- How’s that- even Jaya couldn’t make a sense of it.
- Well , I guess crystals almost complete and it doesn’t need the shard? - Xelo answered with his palm still open.
- Yeah that’s it – Jade held back the truth.
Archil rushed back to the room, barely catching his breath , he looked at all three standing there
- hello, Hi , Nice to meet you - He looked at Jaya , then he looked at jade – We’ve… I mean, Me and Merline have located the fifth one …- He was breathing heavy
- Dude , Catch a breath , we’re like five rooms away from the entrance, how did you get this exhausted…
- That wasn’t the distance’s doing , it was locator spell taking up all my energy?

Jade and Xelo realized there was something wrong and followed Archil in fast pace, as they walked down the hallway, they saw Merline standing on her knees in the middle of the room , looking down at the chalice that had fire in it, that slowly went lower and lower.
- What’s that…
- Well… This is our fifth member, Sida … - Hollie was biting her fist.
- And what’s the fuss about? – Xelo got confused
- Can’t you see the fire? Her vital energy is decreasing – Merline was looking at Xelo with worried face.
Jade stepped front…
- It’s the Chamber… - He said
- Then we must go – Xelo replied
- Chances are it’s a trap… - Archil joined them
- Well, it definitely is a trap – jade continued – I know how Morgaus works, but there’s no doubt that we still have to go. I’m with Xelo on this one.
- On this one? – Xelo got offended.
Jade looked at Em...
- Hey Em, Sorry but you have to stay…
- Hey ! – Em opposed
Hollie looked at Em
- He’s right sweetie – Hollie gave Em a Warm Smile.
- I thought that we were a team.
- Look… We are. But we are not going to take a thirteen year old on a field… - Jade tried to phrase it kindly

All of them looked around at each other , not one spoke up, Jades face squeezed
- well - He took a deep breath , being disappointed- This will make you dizzy – he held his hands out , they made a circle , locking their hands with each other.
Jade whispered to Xelo, who stood at his right side
- Are you sure you don’t want to sit this one out too? – he asked
Xelo made an angry face - “Alright” jade whispered , straightening up , he said loudly “ repeat after me”

As they repeated this , their bodies phased through air , slowly becoming seethrough , after third time that they chanted , they completely disappeared.

Crow stood in the room , Full of Mirrors, Only her reflection showed but she was speaking.
- I appreciate your presence … King. – She said in respectful tone.
- do you? – Dissapointed voice came from infront of her – I mean… I’m still on my planet , waiting for your mission to be completed.
- You’re right , I … have no explanation – Crow bowed her head
- That head of chamber, acts tough in comparison to what a failure he is – Sahem appeared infront of the crow, In mirrors only crow was reflected.
- Well, I don’t even know why you assigned Chamber with this mission first of all..
- Well… It’s a revenge… - Sahem smiled and looked at Crow – You know… It was created by Enki, to ensure I’d never rule over the earth right?- He continued. – But through manipulations and mind games, I led them astray… Just as he deceived the people I modified… - at first it seemed as crow made no sense of it… but then she straightened up lifting her head.
- Nammu – she realized , and took a step back – how…

Crow was standing there scared, she was frozen in place
- I know… - Sahem continued – It’s not everyday that you get to meet the gods… I understand your fear. – Sahem tried to be kind – But , I really don’t need another piece of Stonehenge on my side… so you either get yourself together, or …
- Yes.. your highness – Crow didn’t let Sahem Finish his threat.
- Now that’s what I like… usually I don’t like being interrupted , but not letting me make a threat and following up that way , is very much satisfying. – He said in glorious tone , smiling.
- what would you like me to do about this Morgaus – She said.
- Well , He has a mission to capture that lousy kid right?
- As we speak , our high priestess is waiting for the team to fall for the bait.
- Splendid – Sahem looked up – Well , I really don’t want to waste time planning, Give him time , if he fails , throw him away, do whatever you must with remains … Just don’t disappoint me.

Crow took a quick step behind, turning around and ran out of the room.

In an abandoned Asylum , Svetlana sat on table, Munching on chicken wings speaking to her self , praising the food
- Mm, This is why I love New York – She said , she ate off the meat fully from the wing, swinging the bone around – Here… you can have this – She tossed it to a girl tied to table next to her.
Girl was barely conscious , sitting there moving her head around.
- W.. water – She said with struggle.
- Oh yes yes, you’ll get water , soon enough … - Svetlana Laughed – Or depends on how good of a girl you were, maybe a fire even – She said with hatred in her voice.
- What do you want from me – She said in fading voice
- well, Sida, I have no grudges against you, but the people you’re going to become a problem , so why not get rid of you before you pose a threat ha? – Svetlana answered while chewing the chicken
- I don’t understand – her eyes started to tear up
“Velox Lanuae” – chant came from the corner of the room
- And the show begins – Svetlana put down the basket the chicken wings were in , standing up with a jump – This is going to be epic – She looked back at Sida - Are you sure you want to watch? Close your eyes – she mocked Sida – Oh that’s right , it’s going to close itself.
Six of them appeared in the corner of the room , everyone except Jade were pressing hands on their heads, trying to adjust their views .
- And there they are – Svetlana said
- Who are you? - Jade stepped forward.
- Ah, Six already… you’ve been a busy girl – Svetlana looked at Alice , Who was still adjusting the view
- Take one more step , and I’ll send you straight to your next incarnation witch! – Jade went in his curse form

- I don’t care if you’re the queen of Babylon , This ends now – Jade pointed his hand at Svetlana , releasing see-through red chains towards her, tying her up

- Am I not? – chains at svetlanas leg started to radiate black energy a Chinese dragon phased through it , it circled around Svetlana , resting on her shoulder – Meet my familiar… - She said in deep Russian accent
- You think your pet Yura’s going to save you? – Xelo stood behind Jade, all six of them got through the after effects
- You racist little punk – Svetlana said in anger
- Like you’re one to talk … - Xelo answered in hateful way
Dragon rushed towards Xelo , he immediately disappeared , appearing behind the dragon , catching it by its tail , Xelo’s eye turned black , He smashed the dragon on the ground , Placing his hand on top saying “Vade” , The dragon dismantled in black smoke
- Since when do you speak Latin – Jade looked at Xelo, he was impressed
- I’m a demon… - Xelo said
Jade lifted nodded his head upwards, as a gesture that he understood.
Hollie rushed to Sida , Grabbing her wrist she looked with disappointed face at jade
- Her pulse is very slow – Hollie said
- Archil , Do you remember the spell – Jade looked back, Archil nodded – Take Hollie and Sida back, and explain everything to her there , Quick – jade shouted, Archil rushed at Hollie , they both disappeared in thin air.
- Oh… Silly boy… you should’ve let Alice go with them – Svetlana said
Two tall men entered room from both sides, they were wearing Long black robes, with Chambers logo on both sides of the robe under the chest
- Meet my muscles – as soon as Svetlana finished , two men rushed behind Svetlana, putting their one hands on each of her shoulder – Svetlanas hair started lifting up , levitating as if it had no mass – You really should’ve let her go. – She said as the chains broke . – you two take on the woman and the kid, leave the girl and this old man – she was looking at Alice and jade.
Two men rushed towards Xelo and Merline , before they went close Xelo in confusion asked “are they coming for fist fight?” he stepped back with one leg getting ready to land a punch, as soon as man approached him , he swung his fist , but the man dodged it with incredible speed, hitting him , as he was hit , a black energy burst came behind Xelo
- What the – He was confused, the punch was surprisingly strong, the man smiled at him
- You know what… - Xelo started jumping on the place throwing his fists down – you asked for it
he said and he instantly disappeared, appearing behind the man hitting him under the rib the man tripped forward , Xelo appeared in front of him now, Landing a kick on his face from air , as the men fell over behind, Xelo again appeared from his back , swinging his leg low while dropping to the ground , his leg went under the both feet of the man , dropping him on the ground, then he appeared on top , with his one leg stepped on the mans chest .
- you’re moves are flashy kid – The man said from the ground , grabbing xelos leg, throwing him away into the next room.
Merline was dancing in circles before the second “muscle” came at her , as he swung his fist, she dodged it with a circular move , grabbing the hair of a man
- You weren’t going to hit a Lady now were you? – She asked with angry voice
The man turned around, with angry face, Landing a kick to Merlines belly , throwing her out the window, from which he jumped out aswell.
Svetlana was left alone with Alice and Jade
- A little privarcy is good – She said with evil smile
- Too bad it won’t bring you anything good .- Alice answered
Svetlana started swirling her hands in circles “mother of fire , lend me your strength “ She said in angry voice, she pointed her palms at Jade , her hands threw endless streak of fire, after few minutes ,she stopped, jade walked out , he was shielding Alice, he was red, his skin burnt, it was regenerating
- You will have to try more than that.
- oh , I know where your Achiles heel is – Svetlana answered with confidence.
- It ain’t fire – Jade said , as he rushed towards Svetlana – You can’t Kill me! – he screamed and swung his hand
- I don’t have to – before the fist hit her, she lifted her arm , pressing her fingers in fist, freezing jade on spot- I just have to contain you… - She hit her knee under Jades Chin , Launching him to the ceiling, Jade made a huge crater on impact, he instantly fell to the ground , Svetlana poked her heel on Jades back, jade started screaming – A burn doesn’t hurt you , but injury to the spine… now that’s a pain…
- How.. – Alice was frightened.
- You see… your friend here, was in many battles, so his nerves don’t transfer pain anymore to the center – Svetlana pushed her heel even deeper – because he got used to injuries… but , I can see
through his energy, that only spinal nerve wasn’t punctured… - She continued as she pressed her heel deeper and deeper – I may not be able to kill you… even if I squash you to pieces, your body will regenerate itself back… but I can knock you out… - Svetlana said , pressing her heel deeper , Jade screamed , as his sound died out , he lost consciousness.
A body of the man , her “muscle” flew towards her , she dodged it , the body hit the wall dropping on the ground with its feet up on the table next to the wall.
- Ah, just in time to witness end credits – Svetlana said- I see you took care of my “Muscle”
Xelo and Merline walked in , Merline was holding a doll in her hands, merline only had a small cut on her face, from the glass she went through.
- It’s Dead – Xelo looked at Svetlana
- Nobody hits me and gets away with it – Merline said wiping the blood off of her face
Xelo noticed jade on the ground, bleeding from his back , He tried to rush towards but Merline stopped him with her hand.
- What about my second minion, Why not use him as a cannon too – Svetlana asked in disappointed voice, then she noticed what Merline was holding – Oh, you turned him into a Doll I see… pretty – She laughed
Merline whispered something in the ear of the doll , the Man walked in slowly, his eyes burnt out , he stood
- He gave me his hair – Merline said – I named him Yura
- You little – Svetlana got angry- Alright… Im tired – she snapped her fingers , all of them dropped on their knees, screaming in pain
- Whats happening – Alice was grabbing her belly barely speaking from pain
- That’s is pain transference my friend… - Svetlana Smiled – Why do you think I ate this poisoned chicken wings – she looked at the table where basket was – I should’ve had more…
she slowly started walking towards Alice, as she approached her, she grabbed Alices face by chin lifting her head up , looking deep into her eyes
- It’s true, Darina can’t handle simplest of tasks. Good I came prepared – As Svetlana finished this words, Alices face changed , her eyes started radiating bright purple energy , burning Svetlana’s hand, Svetlana quickly removed her hand stepping back. – You should be ripping apart from the pain right now – She said fearfully
Alice got up , not even facing Xelo and Merline pointed her palm at them , still keeping an eye contact with Svetlana ,she released an invisible energy wave towards those two, they instantly were relieved of the pain, Svetlana started screaming she dropped on her knees
Xelo looked at Alice in fear, as she levitated in air
- That’s… That’s how she ended The world first time – Xelo looked at Merline
- I know you’ve told me – Merline was afraid too
Alice was in air levitating, her voice tripled
- This ends now – They said.
She heard the voices from the past
- Control it – Soft one said
- Consume it – The deep one said
Jade stood up shaking his head , looking back she saw Alice , he knew what would happen
Alice was twitching her head, a small bottle dropped from Svetlana’s hand, on this motion Alice pointed her hand towards Svetlana , Releasing the beam of purple energy “Achilles” Svetlana said , she raised her palm , spun and redirected the flow of energy towards Xelo, The room went bright, as the lights dimmed down .
- Jade… - Xelo shoved his hands under Jades armpits, slowly laying him down, Jade covered the beam with his crystal , the red stone was shattered all over the room, Alice snapped out of it , descending to the ground , noticing jade , she started shaking…
- Now where was I – Svetlana was looking at three of them randomly – Ah yes, That I came prepared, and that I’m gonna kill you yes. - She looked at alice, but before she even took a step , Xelo appeared in front of her – What’s this kid- she said , but her word was cut short , Xelo grabbed her throat , lifting her in air , slamming her on the ground , he kicked the floor , she was launched in air, he grabbed her foot tossing her down again but now on the table , she slid down from table and got up , she barely caught breath , leaning forward, Xelo took dagger from his boot , shoving it up Svetlanas chin it went through her mouth, she lifted her head , opening the mouth , screaming, Xelo took out the knife from Svetlanas Chin , trying to stab her in heart , but Svetlana barely screamed “Velox Lanuae” and she disappeared.
Xelo turned around rushing towards Jade
- I… Is he..? – Xelo was touching jades chest all over
- I don’t know – Alice was frightened – I … I was in control, I sent enough energy to kill her, I didn’t intend to destroy the universe again… that makes no sense…
Jaya appeared behind Xelo , placing her hands on Jades Chest
- Who’s this – Merline asked , Alice seemed to be interested too
- It’s no time for that, ill explain everything once we get back, but we have to make sure he’s okay.
- but how can this be… isn’t he immortal? – Alice asked
- Well, he’s Like an Achilles, the stone, if hit with strong enough energy , Can kill him… -Jaya said.
- Oh my god… - Alice covered her mouth – I killed him.
- It’s not your fault – Jaya looked at alice with a smile…
Xelo stood up and turned around , Alice went and grabbed Xelos shoulder
- I… I’m sorry – Alice said
Xelo shook his shoulder
- Apology can’t bring him back – Xelo said with shaking voice , he reached in pocket to grab the shard, it was shining bright red, he looked up.
- He’s not dead… - Jaya said , everybody looked at her – The energy was strong , but not strong enough to kill him – She said… - But he will sleep like a bear for a day or two – then she looked at Xelo- The shard. Give it to me .- She said
Xelo handed Shard to Jaya , Jaya grabbed it from Xelos hand, placing it down in the chest hole of Jade , shards all around the room started shaking , then they started flowing towards Jades chest, uniting in crystal again, Xelos shard stayed on top of the crystal
Everyone sighed in relief .
- Lets go back – Merline said.

Darina stood in front of a scrying ball , witnessing all this, she was happy that Svetlana failed, but also she was angry
- How did she know how to kill jade… - She couldn’t understand, then she looked at Amphis… - Did you?
- Mother? – Darina was walking towards Amphis with very furious face
- Don’t tell me you’ve been a snitch for this Svetlana all this time – Darinas voice grew in fury more and more
- What are you even saying… Look at yourself! – Amphis turned into a boy
- Then how else could’ve she known.
- I don’t know mother, but I swear you’re scaring me… This Morgaus and Jade has really messed you up bad – He was taking steps back.
- Now is that a way to speak with a mother – Darina sounded insane.
Amphis teared up covering his face
- I didn’t do it… - He said
His tears snapped Darina out of it her face changed in guilt and shame instantly , she rushed towards Amphis
- Please don’t kill me – Amphis cried out
Darina hugged Amphis, and started petting his head
- I would never hurt you Amphis – She said , her voice held huge sorrow – I’m Sorry.
As she finished apologizing, Svetlana crying bleeding from her mouth teleported in the room
- Oh gosh, look at you, you look like a canceled zombie show – Darina rushed to get a towel
- Not now… Im not on the mood – Svetlana answered crying and barely speaking because of the bleed
- Look at you, humiliated , still giving orders.. – Darina threw a towel at her – First humiliated by that girl , then further humiliating yourself , coming here for help – Darina was talking with hatred - If it wasn’t for the rules, I’d let you bleed out in my room .
- how did you get out in one piece – Svetlana asked , pressing her arms on the ground
Darina went closer, lifting Svetlana’s head up , saying some Russian spell , healing her mouth wound
- There… - Darina looked down at Svetlana – You’d ruin my rug even worse otherwise – She said
Morgaus came rushing into the room “ where is she” he screamed
- Where is who – Darina answered
- Alice! – Morgaus looked at collapsed Svetlana- What did you do to her Darina – Morgaus lifted his finger.
- Nothing… - Svetlana answered, Darina looked surprised , She slowly stood up, turning around to face Morgaus – All she did was help - She was exhaling deeply after every word.
- You look like a vampire with an addiction problem – Morgaus laughed , then his face changed- You’re telling me they did this to you? Are you not ashamed? – Morgaus took serious tone.
- If you’re that strong, why don’t you go after them yourself… - Darina tried to play with Morgauses mind again
- Why the hell do I have this empire, if I go and take care of the business myself – Morgaus got angry.
- Perhaps you were wrong… Perhaps Darina should’ve been the high priestess - Svetlana looked at Morgaus – She got out without a scratch, and look at me.
Darina’s expression changed, she was confused.
- Which means she fled … you decided to fight until you almost died.. that’s what high priestess is, not a runner- Morgaus grabbed Svetlana’s face – Fail me again, And I’ll have you both thrown into the cell. – he swung Svetlana’s face with his hand turning his back on both slowly walking out of the room
- Hey… - Darina grabbed Svetlana’s shoulder – thank you for standing up for me , and what you said about being a priestess ,Maybe being enemies is not a good idea – she said
Svetlana looked back over the shoulder
- I’m Beginning to think so too – She said in deep voice, and for the first time , she smiled
Darina had mischief in her eyes.

Alice sat in the middle of the main room , fidgeting her fingers
- It has been two days already – she was worried
- You managed to bring me back… you’ll get him back too – Sida sat next to her , massaging Alices shoulder
- Yeah, well at least you weren’t her fault – Xelo answered with anger
