Welcome, To The King's Guard

"I will show you that an angry kitten shouldn't be messed with," she said punching her brother in the face after they exchanged a few punches. Her brother stumbled backwards several steps as the exhaustion was creeping into his body, he returned her to her ribcage at the same time she held his other arm and twisted it behind his back which dislocated his elbow bone. "Fuck," the masked male cursed in pain.

"Don't say such words infront of an innocent girl like myself and there are no ladies available," she whispered in her brothers ears delivering another blow to his back. The king chuckled at the helpless look on the male's face but in the next second, he used the remaining strength in him to turned to his sister and throw her away. The king gapped at the way the masked male treated his own blood sister.

His eyes moved to the slender figure who was now standing on the robe around the ring perfectly fine, she really was ready for him. She suddenly shot forward, floating in the air and landed a powerful punch to her brothers chest, knocking him to the floor as she landed on her feet. As the male released a groan the bell rang signalling the end of the fight.

The king watched as she quickly went to help her brother up. The cold look being replaced by an apologetic one which the masked male waved off with a chuckle. The king looked at the sibling with an unknown emotion which made Kelsey who was looking at his furrowed his brows. From the moment he told the king about the girl, he has been behaving strangely.

"I hope it isn't what I'm thinking" Kelsey thought with an internal sigh. He knows how much the king, his friend was suffering from being denied a mate by the goddess of the moon. The goddess has cursed him when he was just eighteen, she has taken away his privilege of having a mate, the only thing that would keep him sane but then again, no one knows what the king did to be cursed by their goddess who was supposed to be the warmth in his life

The king no longer pray to the goddess, he no longer seek her permission. He writes his destiny himself, he would rather believe God than a goddess he hasn't seen his whole life. The king always finds comfort in praying to God rather than a goddess who was also created by someone else. Again, none of them could really understand why but that was how he lived his life from the beginning of time.

"It time for the king to choose his guard among the two warriors," the announcer said with a shaky breath. The fight has really shocked him. He thought one of them would have died during the fight because of how fircest the the two masked warriors were.. If the king were to take the two of them as his guard, he would be at an advantage against the enemies. Was what the announcer thought. All the females were quite ruthless but the girls ruthlessness is top notch.

"Whatever happens, never forget that I will always be there for you," the masked male said to the lady who gave a nod of understanding.

"Likewise," she replied gently as she turned to look at the king whose eyes were already on her. Her brows raised at how blatantly the king was staring at her.

"Why's the king staring like that?" The masked male asked his sister shifting uncomfortably under the King's intense gaze.

"I don't know. Maybe he's falling for you?" She teased. The silver haired king shook his head after hearing their words. He stood up and started walking towards the ring He entered the ring facing the siblings who stood with their hands behind their backs. He was really impressed with their fights. The females have potentials but the girl has met his expectations.

"I must say, I'm pretty impressed, very impressed. I haven't seen something like this before. I don't actually take interest in such contests but when my beta mentioned a girl being among the fighters, my interest was sparked. I wanted to see what she got and you blew my mind really. Plus from the cheers from the audience, I'm sure they agree with me," the king said with admiration in his tone. The crowd gasped hearing the praise of the king, no one has ever been praised and admired by the king before.

"And you've also proven yourself very well. I actually thought she was going to kill you before the end of the fight though. You did great, you viewed her as your enemy which was good and you took it as a battle which made her retaliated in the same way. I truly am impressed with your skills. Good job," the king praised the male, the same admiration present in his tone. The siblings were shocked, even their parents were fluttered.

"I came down here with the thought of choosing only one guard tonight but I think I change my mind. I prefer two," the king said shocking everyone. He really would be a fool to let go of the male.

"With that being said, Welcome to the King's Guard," he said and the audience cheered with a round of applause for the siblings while someone brought two swords to the king. One golden and one silver. He handed the golden to the young man and the silver to the young lady. Both swords we're made from stainless steel. The audience cheered once more.

"Thank you, your majesty," the siblings chorused.

"Welcome and please meet me at my office tommorow morning, after breakfast," the king said before turning to the rest of the fighters.

"I want to welcome four of the first female fighters to the King's Guard as well," the king added before walking away, forgetting to ask for the names of the siblings.

Kelsey who watched the whole thing unfold grinned proudly. This is the first time, his friend has interacted with a warrior just after the contest, this means a lot. Kelsey followed the king to his office with a smile on his face while the siblings went to their parents.

"I'm proud of both of you," he said hugging each of them. Their mother did same.

"Thanks Dad. Your hard work payed off," the male joked causing them to laugh but what he said was true, their father is a great father and their mother is the best mom they could ever ask for. "We will see both of you tomorrow," the female said. Since they were the Kings guards, they are requested to stay in the pack house tonight.

"Okay sweetheart," their mother replied and the two siblings went away. They were escorted to the pack house by one of the warriors. The siblings were happy they were both going to be protecting the king.

Their parents wasted no time in going to see the king at his office. The silver hair king entered his office and walked towards his tinted window, he watched as the siblings interrupted with their parents before parting ways with them.

"You look interested in that girl even without knowing her name or her identity," Kelsey who just entered the office said with a chuckle as the king turned around with pursed lips.

"She intrigues me, that's all," the king clarified with a shrugged of his muscular shoulders as he sat down.

"Just that? Well thank the earths you're not attracted to her because I am attracted to that girl and plan on wooing her bro," Kelsey said rubbing his hands together.

"She's off limits. Try wooing her with your Playboy ass and I will make sure you have no ass to sit on," the king said flipping a file opened.

"Whatever," Kelsey muttered in defeat, he wouldn't dare disobey the king. Friends or not, he wouldn't hesitate to castrate him if he were to go near his female guard. She's the first female who came to protect the king and that alone makes her special. She already has the King's favour, even if she doesn't know that.

A knock on the door interrupted their conversation, Kelsey said a "come in" after the king gave him a nod of approval. The couple walked in and sat in front of the king after asked them to. Kelsey took his leave, closing the door behind him on his way out.

"Let's get straight to the reason I called for you here," the king said leaning back in his chair. Looking at the couple, he could sense a strings of powerful aura from the man, even the woman has this aura surrounding her which was welcoming but also authoritative.

"Are you an Alpha," he asked as the thought dawn on him.

"I'm an alpha, your majesty," the man confirm with a respectful bow of his head.

"What's your name and packs name?" the king asked curiously.

"I'm Azurah and my Park's name is, Silver Pearl Pack. This is my mate and wife, Paula" he said with a smile while the King looked at him in surprise. The man sitting in front of him is a famous alpha. He's also quite ruthless in his own way.

"You're an Alpha so why would you let your son participate in the contest?" He asked curiously. All Alphas need an heir so for a famous alpha to let his heir partake in his contest was very confusing especially with the rumours surrounding him. Even werewolves don't want him as an Alpha King so it was puzzling that this alpha has his children fight in his contest.

"I have an elderly son who would be taking on the role of an alpha after I resigns and since my other two kids were young, they've always dreamt of becoming your guard especially my daughter.

She doesn't believe in rumors. She has never been scared of you like every female is but rather has this obsession of being your personal guard, the rest is for her to tell," Azurah said with a chuckle as he remembered his daughter having a sword fight with him as the Knight in shining armor.

The king was quite shocked hearing Alpha Azurah's words. He was surprised and shocked that those siblings would want to protect him. Weren't they supposed to be in college? Every youngster would want to enjoy their lives at it's prime.

"But aren't they supposed to be in college?" He asked his question aloud and the Alpha sitting before him chuckled softly.

"They're done with college, your majesty," the Luna replied with a smile. The king massaged his temple in exasperation. He felt emotional but didn't show it.
