The Contest

The fighting arena was full of people who were chatting about the fight that was about to commence. Their voices held certainty about people they thought would win. This particular contest was even vacant for women but most of them were held back because of the rumors surrounding the king.

His ruthlessness was known throughout the world. Rumors had it that, he kills any guard that makes even the tiniest of mistakes. Even male guards don't have it easy let alone a woman. Most women would rather not partake in such nightmare. The worst thing is that, your life would be at stake during the contest. You can be killed.

Some men would rather not contest for the position of being his guard where they could lose their lives for nothing. People were still pouring in as this particular fight had something that most contests don't. It astonishing to the extent that they couldn't understand how such a thing could happen. There were ten women among the men.

Behind a tinted glass window stood a tall beautiful man, with silver hair which reached his mid-back. His transparent emerald eyes scanned the arena coldly. His high cheekbones and sharp jawline were a sight to behold. A straight nose that would have the fingers of women itching to be touched sat between cheeks and above his very red lips but no woman would dare touch him. His thick brows furrowed ever so slightly as he looked to be in deep thoughts.

A knock on the door interrupted his thoughts, as he turned around a slight sigh escaped his tin lips. "Come in," the man said sitting in his black leather chair behind his desk. His arms rest on the surface of the mahogany desk as a man with soft golden eyes walked in. This man has soft curly dark hair with high cheekbones, tin pink lips and straight nose. His jawline look strong and his muscles flex as he walked towards the man sitting in his leather chair leisurely.

"Everything is ready," the man who just walked in said with a tired sigh. He has been making sure everything is in order for the contest and he's darn tired.

"How many do we have?" the green eye man asked leaning back in his chair.

"We have thirty of them. Ten women but there's a girl among them," the golden eye man replied with a chuckle. The other man looked shocked at the news.

"A girl or a woman?" He asked the smiling man with raised brows. No offense but the golden eye man can be delusional sometimes.

"A girl, a calm innocent girl. The innocence is all over her and the way the men keep checking her out is hilarious because they can't approach her for some reason," the young man replied with another chuckle.

"Let's go. I want to see what she got, Kelsey," the man said standing up while Kelsey jaw dropped in surprise. But before he could ask why he was suddenly interested in seeing her, he walked out.

"Yes, your majesty," Kelsey muttered walking out and closing the door behind him.

Both men walked down the hallway and exited the building. One with anticipation and the other with confusion. Kelsey knows his majesty and friend very well. He has never been interested in such contests, he always sat behind his tinted window and watch from the office. He later sends the results about who should be part of his guards and who shouldn't so his sudden interest in this girl is mind boggling for him. Even his lycan agreed to his thoughts.

The people who came to fight would be in pairs. They would fight and get evicted if they are not what the king is looking for. The eviction would be until, it remains four of the fighters. Who would fight singly and also get evicted. Only one person would be the guard the king needs but if the remaining three are lucky, they would be chosen as well but would be part of other low ranking guards.

They walked into the arena and the silver hair man went to seat just ten steps away from the fighting ring while Kelsey went to into the ring. The audience gasped seeing the king in the open, shocked that he was present among them, some looks terrified for merely seeing him in flesh and blood. The King's eyes scanned the fighters who were sitting on his left hand side. Some of the male fighters a shitless and only had on their sweatpants, his eyes continued to scan them as he looked for the female his friend mentioned.

Not seeing her, he sighed softly in disappointment as he thought Kelsey must have mistaken one of the women for a girl but as he turned his attention to the speaking Kelsey he saw two figures taking a seat behind the rest of the fighters, one slender and on muscular with raven black hairs, both had on masks which his half of their face.

"Hey what are you looking at?" Kelsey asked interrupting his stare at the slender figure which stood out among the fighters.

"Nothing," the king replied with a sigh. Kelsey brows shot up as he smirked evilly. He knew what his friend A.K.A the king was looking at but he intentionally asked. An amused chuckle left his lips as he turned his gaze towards the ring which now was occupied by four fighters. Two males and two females who looked at each other with hostility and over confidence.

"Start," a voice announced, the four fighters run at each other, fists swinging in the air and grunts and groans filling the air. The fight was intense between the four but the king wasn't looking because his emerald eyes keeps drifting towards the slender figure whose eyes was looking at the fight intently, even from afar he could smell her. Her scent clouded his mind causing his inner demon to purr in approval. Okay, that's weird. His inner demon never purrs.

"Stop purring like a cat, Thunder," he warned his demons who snorted in reply and ignored him all together. He shook his head in disbelief. This is the first time he has ever enjoyed the scent of a female. The fight has gone on for thirty minutes before it was the masked figures turn. They were paired together and was fighting two red hair werewolves, talking of wolves, the king sniffed the air again and was shocked at what he discovered.

"Tell me she isn't," Kelsey heard his friend muttered.

"Yes, she's," Kelsey replied with a smile while the King shook his head in disbelief. How could she risk her life like this? Is she insane.

"Who's the man she's paired up with?"Kelsey heard his friend asked again. Geeze, why's the king asking such question.

"Her boyfriend," Kelsey said, his tone sounding serious, the king whipped his head in Kelsey's direction with a growl of disapproval.

"Chill bro, I'm kidding. They're siblings,"Kelsey said to save himself from getting knocked out and into the lala land for a week. He watched as the Kings tensed muscles relaxed accompanied with a breath of relief which again surprised him but starring at his eyes which has turned an electric blue he knew his wolf took over after hearing his lie. The King's eyes gradually changed colour before he turned to look at the figures standing in the ring.

"Start,"as soon as the words left the announcer's lips the red hairs lunched themselves at the calm siblings as some audience cheered them on. The masked make caught the fist directed at his face retuning it with his own while the female dodged the fist tripping the other red hair in the process, with a swift movement, she lifted the red hair wolf and threw him across the ring in a cold manner before stalking towards him with a leisure stride Whiles the masked male and the other wolf engaged in an intense combat.

The wolf who was thrown across the ring was already on his feet, his eyes red with anger. For such humiliation. He stook a step forward before swinging his fist and hitting the female in the tommy. She staggered back in two steps as the wolf changed towards her with fangs barred in anger. The male wolf delivered a punch to her face but she caught it and delivered two to his left ribcage breaking a few ribs in the process. An agonizing scream filled the arena.

The masked male has also broken a few bones. The siblings backs connected to each other as they stared at their opponents coldly, their aura calm and warm without a hint of the coldness which their eyes reflects. Both red hairs made eye contact before charging for the siblings with killing intents, the female's opponent swing his feet at her, hitting her in the face but she didn't flinch as she caught his legs and snapped his leg. The audience gasped at her ruthlessness.

"She's more ruthless than her brother," someone commented behind the king which made him turned to look at a brunette hair woman who was sitting beside a dark hair middle aged man.

"How do you know they're related?" The king asked curiously.

"Because we're their parents" the man replied truthfully.

"Meet me in my office after the contest," the king said to them calmly. "Yes, your majesty," the couple replied before he turned back to the fight, the scene in front of him shocked him a lot.

The female and the male has swapped their opponents. The female stood with one leg on top of the red hair wolf's head causing the arena to quiet down, the wolf swing his fist at her leg but she jumped up and swing her slender leg at his face, hitting him in the face. The male wolf spit out a month full of blood as she landed on her feet gracefully. She turned delivered several punches to his face and ribcage and chest. With one final blow she knocked him out cold.

"Her ruthlessness has no mercy," the king heard his friend commented. How Kelsey wished their other friends were here to see the fight.

The male has also knocked out the other werewolf before turning to the lady. He held her bruised face with a hurt look as he tried to clean some of the blood off her face.

"Over protective brat," the king heard their father muttered with a chuckle. Some people quickly took out the unconscious bodies while the announcer called in another pair of fighters for the siblings, well, that's how the ruthless king works. He wants to know how long the siblings can hold it, especially the female. She's pretty interesting for her species.

With every opponents they face, the siblings kept shocking the audience. They never repeat the same tactics with different opponents. Every opponent with different tactics. After thirty minutes of intense combat, the siblings were face with each other for their final fight.

"Who do you think would win?"their mother asked nervously.

"You never know but I have a feeling it going to get intense with no blood, of cause.

The two were now engaged in an intense combat, more intense than the previous ones, if not that Kelsey knew they were siblings, he would have mistook them for enemies because darn was the fight reflecting one of an enemy.

The amount of bones cracking is very horrible, even the king was astonished at the intensity of the fight as the punched the female in her abdomen and delivered a kick to her kneecubs causing her to loose her balance and fall flat on her back but he was shocked when she flipped over and landed perfectly on her legs.

"I see we're going all out," she commented, her voice raspy and dry. "Yes we're, kitten," the male said with a husky voice as she punched him in the abdomen, the punched powerful as it made him flew across the ring landing him in the fine sand.

"Oh no, he shouldn't have called her that. Now he's dead," their father commented in amusement.

"Shut up Kelly," their mother said to his mate while he chuckled softly. The king was amused at their parents. How could they be so relaxed when their children were at each other's neck. Kelsey's eyes was looking at the siblings intensely, if the king should employed the two, he would be at an advantage against the enemies. ______&________&______
