Chapter 267: Obito confronts Kakashi, the truth comes out!

Obito's other Sharingan is in Yan's hands, and he wouldn't easily reveal it.

Konohagakure is not involved in this matter.

But other villages don't want to miss this great opportunity, so Yan can only go along with their actions.

Since Konohagakure is not involved, they can do as they wish.

The deadline slowly approaches.

The five Kage openly lead their teams toward the old Amegakure Village site.

After the Kage leave the camp, a figure sneaks into the camp.

In the command center, Kakashi, looking haggard, sat in a chair.

Ever since he learned that the mysterious Uchiha Madara could very well be Obito, Kakashi had been lost in a wave of guilt and memories.

In just a few days, Kakashi had turned into a shadow of himself, neither fully human nor ghost-like.

Nara Shikaku, worried something might happen to him, specifically reported this to Yan.

Yan, however, had no solution. This kind of thing could only be endured and overcome by the person themselves—or by someone who could inspire them to recover.

For Kakashi, that someone was Obito, the person who could not only help him bounce back but also heal the shadow in his heart.

Kakashi, in an extremely poor mental state, didn't notice someone had silently entered the command center.

Standing there, Obito looked at Kakashi with eyes full of resentment and bitterness.

Black Zetsu, hiding in the shadows, silently sank into the ground. He already knew Obito wouldn't be able to go through with it.

Despite his deep hatred for Kakashi over Rin's death, as well as for others connected to that event, Obito had no trouble acting ruthlessly against Minato, Kushina, and even Konoha itself. Yet, he still couldn't bring himself to harm Kakashi.

"Kakashi, you're really a mess right now," Obito said, unable to suppress his words as he thought of his past self and the Kakashi he once knew.

Hearing this, Kakashi's body stiffened for a few seconds. Then, with a hoarse voice, he said:

"Obito… why…"

"You're asking me why?"

Obito, who had been holding back his emotions, suddenly erupted. He no longer cared if his actions would draw attention.

His identity was already exposed—it didn't matter. As long as he could leave safely, nothing else was important.

There were so many things Obito had kept bottled up inside for years, and now he was determined to use this chance to finally ask.

"Why did you kill Rin? Why? Why?"

A surge of immense chakra exploded from Obito, causing chaos in the command center.

The people in the camp quickly evacuated under orders. Yan arrived with reinforcements, watching Kakashi and Obito locked in a standoff.

"It seems it's confirmed now," Yan muttered.

"..."

Obito's words felt like sharp knives stabbing deep into Kakashi's heart.

Faced with Obito's furious questioning, Kakashi stayed silent—not because he had nothing to say, but because he didn't know how to explain.

The command tent had been blown apart, leaving Kakashi and Obito in full view of everyone. The Five Kage, who were supposed to be heading to the ruins of the Land of Rain, slowly appeared.

Their departure had been a ruse. Yan was convinced Obito wouldn't go to the ruins of Amegakure Village but would instead come straight for Kakashi.

Obito didn't care about the appearance of the Five Kage. He wasn't concerned about whether he had walked into a trap—he only wanted to get answers and vent the anger and hatred festering inside him.

Seeing Obito's menacing presence, the Five Kage didn't immediately take action.

Ohnoki, Raikage A, Yagura, and Rasa were all filled with rage, while the Third Hokage was both anxious and angry.

He had thought all of this was just Yan's speculation, but now the truth was undeniable—the fake Uchiha Madara was actually Obito.

He could hardly believe it. The cheerful, gullible Uchiha boy, once called the most un-Uchiha-like Uchiha, had done something as terrible as orchestrating the Nine-Tails attack.

"Obito… why?" the Third Hokage asked, feeling an inexplicable pain in his heart.

Sadly, Obito completely ignored him, acting as if he hadn't heard a word.

The revealed Three Tomoe Sharingan stared intensely at the silent and hesitant Kakashi.

"Because Nohara Rin wasn't killed by Kakashi—she took her own life."

"You're lying! I saw it with my own eyes! I saw Kakashi kill Rin, stabbing her right through the heart! There was a huge hole in her chest!"

Obito, overwhelmed with emotions, roared at Yan like a wounded, out-of-control beast.

"According to investigations, Rin was captured by the Kirigakure Village. They cruelly sealed a Tailed Beast inside her, planning to send her back to Konoha. Once the seal broke, the unleashed Tailed Beast would destroy Konoha, dealing a fatal blow."

Rin, unwilling to let Kirigakure's plan succeed, deliberately ran into Kakashi's Chidori.

This old story didn't bother Yan, who casually revealed the details to make Yagura uncomfortable.

After all, Kirigakure truly did such things. Whether it was under Uchiha Madara's control or not, they couldn't deny their actions.

The room turned to look at Yagura.

Ohnoki, Raikage A, and Rasa were clearly enjoying Yagura's misfortune.

The Third Hokage looked stunned, Kakashi was shocked and furious, and Obito…

Well, Obito's sanity was barely holding under the weight of hatred and anger.

Why are you all staring at me?!

Yagura was speechless, wishing he could sew Yan's mouth shut with a needle.

Why bring up something from so long ago now? It wasn't even my doing!

In truth, Yagura himself was confused. He had once worked with others in his village to investigate the Third Mizukage, suspecting he had been under someone else's control.

Because of this, Yagura wasn't fully aware of many things the Third Mizukage had done, even though he had been the sharpest tool in the Mizukage's arsenal, clearing obstacles along the way.

Hidden in the shadows, Black Zetsu couldn't believe Yan knew such classified information. How did he know?

Even Kirigakure itself didn't fully understand these events, let alone anyone else. Yet Yan exposed everything in front of everyone.

Obito had always believed Rin was killed by Kakashi and blamed Konoha for it.

This belief drove him to seek revenge against Konoha.

Later, when Yagura was manipulated, he unleashed chaos on Kirigakure as well.
