Chapter 14 Drinking Contest_1

Seeing Kayson sulking all the way, Basil Jaak felt utterly displeased. A bicycle is still a vehicle, right? I didn't tell you it would have four wheels, only you jumped to that conclusion. How can you blame me for that?

Amanda noticed Kayson had been sulking without uttering a word since they left the company. She gently poked her and whispered in her ear, "Kayson, don't behave like this. He invited you out of goodwill and you're just giving him attitude. Isn't that bullying him? Besides, Basil Jaak never said his car was an automobile, did he?"

Kayson was not an unreasonable person. She was not particularly angry, she just did not find a way to back down gracefully. Upon hearing Amanda's words, she immediately joked, "Amanda, are we even friends? Why are you always defending him? People might think you've known him forever. Hang on, you're defending him pretty often today, you don't actually fancy him, do you? I recall you were never kind to men before."
