Chapter 42: Drunk for the Goddess_1

"Damn, you think I don't want to dine in a fancy restaurant?" Alston cursed Everett in his heart, but had to accept one fact. Despite his family being wealthy, they weren't particularly affluent, especially when it came to his pocket money, which could only afford to treat people to places like this outdoor fish grill.

However, Alston was not demoralized. He pointed at the beer on the table and yelled at Everett in front of Daisy, "Not denying our family's wealth, but I am not the type to bully others merely for that. I won't push you either. Let's have a drinking competition, and whoever wins will get this grilled fish." Saying this, Alston glanced at Daisy next to him and added, "Of course! If you somehow managed to win, you could invite Daisy to eat this grilled fish with you. I won't intervene."

If a plate of grilled fish wasn't a big enough lure for Everett, Alston putting Daisy on the table certainly hit the spot. Everett had little chance of refusing.
