Chapter 7 Rehabilitation_1

Due to the rapid growth of Basil Jaak's transplanted marrow, Debby Sutton miraculously got out of bed only three days after the surgery.

Seeing her daughter recovering so quickly, Mrs. Sutton was the happiest person. She wore a strong smile on her face at all times, a stark contrast to her worried look a few days ago. Her spirits were significantly higher.

"I didn't expect Betsy to recover so quickly. We'll be able to go home in a week. I wonder how your father and your siblings are doing," Mrs. Sutton sat next to the hospital bed and rambled.

Debby, squinting happily, said, "You could call home, you know."

"International calls are expensive, it's quite a waste. We've already spent a lot money on going to Australia for the operation," said Mrs. Sutton, fretting about the cost.

"Mom, sometimes you worry too much about money. As long as we're alive, we can earn it back," Debby gave a bitter smile.
