wake up..

In the afternoon Patrick is sitting in a hospital room alone , working on his laptop in silence,when he hears a little sound of someone getting up from the patient's bed,he turns around to check and his eyes go wide looking at his cousin who was trying to get up from bed.

Ev..Evan ,you are awake, Patrick yelled in disbelief,let me call the doctor ,don't get up,he said making Evan lie in bed again gently.

Patrick ran out and called the doctor leaving Evan confused alone in the room.

What is happening, Evan asked himself being really confused.

In a moment or two ,a team of doctors and nurses came in the room to check on Evan .

On the other hand Patrick was outside the hospital room and called his dad.

Dad, Evan ,h...he woke up. Patrick said while crying the tears of happiness.

What ,i mean when, his father asked with tears in his eyes.

Just now ,please come here and tell everyone dad , Patrick said trying to control his sobs.

Yes ,yes let me tell everyone ,we would be there in no time Patrick, don't worry, his father said and hung up.

After half an hour , Evan's parents and Patrick's parents reached the hospital.

Where is Evan , Patrick , Evan's mother asked while walking towards him.

He is inside aunty , don't worry the doctors are checking on him ,Patrick said while making his aunt sit on one of the chairs outside the room.

Okay, let's wait for the doctor to come out , Evan's father said eager to meet his son.

After another half an hour passed, the team of doctors who were checking on Evan came out.

Doctor ,how is he ,can we meet him. Patrick asked the doctor impatiently.

Don't worry Mr. Chen everything is okay , Evan is doing fine ,you can meet him but remember , don't give him any kind of stress or any bad news ,he is still recovering. The doctor said and left.

Everyone went to Evan's room and his mom and dad embraced him.

Evan ,how are you ,does it hurt anywhere,his mother asked crying.

Mom,i am okay please don't worry , nothing hurts Evan said patting his mother's hand trying to reassure her.

Everyone was in tears looking at Evan's condition,they were all happy and sad at the same time.

Please stop crying everyone it's not like i was going to die right see i am all fine . Evan said looking at the crying faces of his family members.

Patrick atleast not you , Evan said smiling .when did you become a drama queen like them.

Shut up Evan ,you Dumbo you don't know how worried we were about you. Patrick said wiping his tears .

Oh speaking of which,where is Lucas ,how is he ,he didn't come to see me . Evan asked raising his eyebrow in disbelief.

Ev...Evan everything is okay , don't take stress ,rest for a while okay , doctor said you need rest. Patrick said with an unreadable expression on his face.

But let me. Evan was in the middle of the sentence when his mother cut him in between.

No buts Evan ,take rest.his mother said .

Okay ,as you say ,Evan said getting suspicious of his family members.

After sometime when they were assured that Evan was sleeping they all went out of the room.

I think you all should go home now ,it's quite late.patrick suggested.

No ,i want to stay ,Evan needs me ,he just woke up , Evan's mother said .

I wanna stay too , Patrick's mother also said the same thing.

No mom,aunty you need to go home,we all can't stay here and Evan is alright now ,so i can take care of him alone.

No , Patrick i , Evan's mother spoke up again.

Patrick is right honey, let's go home ,you haven't slept well, let's come here again tomorrow in the morning okay ,for now let's go home, Evan's father said and held his wife's hand.

Call us if anything happens Patrick, his father said and also left with his wife.

It was around 07:30 p.m when Patrick went downstairs for some fresh air after checking on Evan who was still fast asleep.
