Tied Up In His Secrets

The couple had finally left the bakery and approached Luca's car. It was only late afternoon and the day had certainly heated up since the last time Sophia had to go outside.

"Nice suits, nice car," Sophia observed. "What other secrets am I going to discover? It's making me nervous."

Luca opened the door for Sophia but before she could step off the sidewalk and into the car, he kissed her cheek.

"Even I'm still discovering them for myself," he admitted. "I'll bring you to my house soon. We'll start there."

Sophia could only go with the flow at that moment. While Luca walked around the car to get into the driver's side, she lifted the flowers she carried and took in their fresh scent. They were so vibrant despite how late into summer it was.
