Funeral I

As Luca adjusted his black tie in the full-body mirror while standing in his walk-in closet, dread filled his chest as he thought of what might transpire in the next few hours.

It was the day of his father's funeral and, while it wasn't open to the public, he was going to have to make a televised speech afterward about the future of the company and officially announce himself as the CEO even though he had been working already for over two weeks.

However, the thing he was most worried about the most wasn't talking in front of reporters. It was the fact that Sophia insisted on being by his side throughout the day. She said she wouldn't forgive herself if she missed such an important day for him.

He appreciated it but he was so worried about the unpredictable nature of things regarding his father.
