CHAPTER NINE

ARIEL'S POV

I breathe a sigh of relief as we got out of the plane, this country holds memories of pain, nothing good has been given to me by it except for Jason and now he is my everything.

"Mommy, my face itches." Jason complained trying to reach out to his mask but I held his hands, "Can you wait a little bit longer, immediately we get to our suite I'll pull it off, I promise." I said feeling guilty, I knew my boy very well and he is very tolerant of any situation, so for him to complain about an itch, he probably couldn't bare it anymore which made me anxious.

"Can you wait here for mommy? I want to go check on something." I excused my self to the corner as I rang the director with a special phone that is untraceable, it is usually used to communicate to comrades during missions so that in case one is caught there would still be a chance of survival for the other. There is meant to be someone waiting for us at the airport to take Jason and I to our hotel, but no one is yet to be seen and with Jason complaining about an itch I couldn't help but reach out to the director.

By the time I was done making the call I went back to check on Jason and he was nowhere to be found, has he been kidnapped? I wondered as I went to full on panic mode, he is obedient and would definitely not leave the place I asked him to wait, so I reported the situation to the airport security and they immediately started to help me search around for Jason.

JASON POV

After Mom left, I started feeling pressed and wanted to use the restroom, I did not want to disobey mom's orders but I couldn't hold it in any longer so I went to the toilet.

On my way to the toilet I bumped into a man who shockingly looked a lot like me only without the blue eyes, was I dreaming?

"Errm, excuse me sir what's your name?" I asked unable to hold back my curiosity.

The old man paused for a while and stared at me intently before deciding to reply, "I'm Mason Dixon." He said with an aura that exuded power leaving me impressed.

"What about you little boy?" He asked me, "Jas-" oh shoot, I almost spilled out my real name, "Jas?" Old man Mason inquired.

"Sorry I meant Michael." I said feeling embarrassed as it only looks like I didn't even know my name.

"You sure talk a whole lot mature for a small child like you, how old are you?" He asked again, feeling proud of myself I had totally forgotten why I left my initial place, "I'm five." I brought out my fingers to show him, normally I don't talk to strangers but this old man feels different and he exuded an aura that draws me in and makes me want to know more.

"You remind me a lot of my son when he was younger." Mason laughed out loud happily, 'So he has a son.' I thought pouting my lips slightly.

"I hope we meet again little Michael." He said with a soft smile want to rub her hair but I dodged slightly, that honour is reserved only for my mother and her alone.

After he left I went into restroom to do my business then went back to where mom had left me to see her surrounded with a bunch of security guards and a worried look on her face, it wasn't hard for me to guess what have happened.

"Mom!" I called out to her feeling guilty for making her worry to this extent, "Ja- Micheal!!" She exclaimed running towards me and hugging me tight.

"So your son never even went missing, Sheesh lady just because we are security guards doesn't mean you can play tricks on us." The security men snorted and my gaze became cold as I shot him a death glare, how dare he talk to my mother like that, if I was big and strong I would have probably beaten to man to bear death, such a boozo.

Meeting my gaze, the security guard who spoke up look shocked and docked his head shivering before excusing him self and leaving, running like his life depended on it, well it did, I've gotten his name from the tag on his shirt, later on I will deal with him personally, for now I need to comfort my mother.

"Mommy, I'm sorry, I got pressed and needed to pee so I left, I really didn't mean to make you worry." I said cutely, the security men soon left after the first one so I wasn't worried about anyone seeing this side, it is a side reserved for my sweet mother alone.

"No need to apologize love, as long as you're okay." Mom said pecking my forehead gently and my heart swelled feeling on top of the world, I am definitely going to grow strong and healthy and protect my mother.

"Our ride is already here, let's go quickly so i can get that thing of your face okay?" She added and I nodded in response before went out and got into the car that zoomed off.

UNKNOWN POV

"Father, when will you stop running about? You're not a kid." A familiar face that has graced the covers of many popular business magazine, scolded Mason with a tired face.

"Heh, why should I listen to you?" Mason snorted going into the car not paying attention to Vincent pushing him aside, "What happened in there? Did anyone upset him?" Vincent asked not looking bothered by his father behaviour.

"We met this kid on the way here, and they bonded quite well but when Master proceeded to rub the little guy's head the boy dodged, I think that's it." The assistant explained causing Vincent to purse his lips trying to control his anger as he marveled, just because a kid dodged his touch he is upset.

Getting into the car, Vincent signalled the driver to put the partition down and he did, "Father, you don't need to be upset because of that you have a granddaughter too and she would be more than happy to let you pat her." Vincent said with an unusually gentle face when he mentioned the so called granddaughter.

"Who told you I'm upset because of that!?" The old man yelled angrily causing Vincent to stay mute as his father's temper this days wasn't so good and it wasn't good for his health.

"Besides I want nothing to do with anything that belongs to that woman, ever, I don't know how she deceived you but she will never deceive me." Mason added and not too long started coughing badly.

"To the hospital quick!" Vincent yelled at the driver through the partition as he held Mason close with worry on his face.
