CHAPTER FOURTY FOUR: Anna

Benjamin got to his office finally, with a solemn expression on his face as he retrieved a picture from his drawer, staring at the woman there in a daze.

She was the reason he is the doctor he is today, and she didn't even get to see him shine before she left.

Sighing, Benjamin rested his head on the chair closing his eyes, when his ringing tone disrupted his peace, causing him to open his eyes abruptly, picking up the phone to see who it was.

Vincent's name was written boldly on screen, causing Benjamin to hiss and cut the call tossing it back on the table.

Few seconds later it rang again, over and over again, until Benjamin couldn't take it anymore and picked the phone.

"What the hell do you want?" He hissed angrily, he knew Vincent was too prideful to apologize for what he said, so why was he disturbing him with calls now.

"It's Anna." Vincent muttered in a slightly audible voice, he sounded so weak and vulnerable at the moment.
