After a tragic death at the hands of his bathroom tile, an MMA fighter finds himself in front of an eldritch God looking for an (unwilling) schmuck to steal from one of the most dangerous beings in the Marvel Universe-- the Pheonix...
Poor Axel is not doomed, however. He was granted the powers of one of his favorite game characters-- Dante Sparda...but the god never specified which version.

Few warnings going in.
1. My fanfiction is being ratioed because people don't understand where it's going from the get-go, so allow me to remedy that. He will start weak and become substantially stronger over the course of 100 chapters or so. If that doesn't jive with you, I suppose this is not your story.
2. He makes mistakes--as do all reasonable protagonists.
3. HE IS NOT DANTE. He is a person with his powers. Don't expect a 1:1 personality mapping. You will be disappointed.
I see a lot of negative reviews and I feel they are quite unjustified, the story is not a masterpiece but it is good and better than many others I have read, MCs that become gods overnight because they do are fun but not everyone knows how to use them and it ends up being boring to read. I like one with a progression like this Dante and with difficulties he has to overcome.
This story is a rarity, it combines DMC with Marvel and it's perfect, putting Dante in another world could be easy, but putting two worlds together with a system and the result being incredibly good is for few
Cool fanfiction, does not let you get bored. Dante's Powers. Stable addition of new chapters. Similar to Primogenitor in Marvel, but more action. I recommend.
Totally nerfed Dante stuck in stupid situations, a slow plot, stupid main character with a nasty personality and random events. Recommendations: Get everything out of the way that is of no interest (anything to do with SHIELD, Hydra and other government organization nonsense, if you put a Devil May Cry character in Marvel you don't put him in those situations, it's stupid). Give the protagonist a personal goal (he wanders around the story totally aimlessly and killing people, generic edgy, even Dante from DmC: Devil May Cry has more personality, which at first seems impossible). Increase the strength of the protagonist being faithful to the original character (In the most recent chapter the protagonist was afraid of Wolverine, WOLVERINE, ONE OF THE WEAKEST X MEN, even the weakest version of Dante with no arms and terminal cancer easily destroys Wolverine). Give more structure to the plot (everything is very random, there is no defined arc and characters come out of nowhere that in the next one don't appear again and plots are opened that remain later in the air).
There 14 reviews by the same person on here… inflating false reviews…. Here’s a one to counter it a bit… AUTHOR you need to delete 13 of the reviews by the same person. It’s literally 5 star reviews with emojis.
ive always hated the god forcing mc to do things trope. even if the mc ends out on top, its always feels like the entire journey and the mcs goals comes from the whims of some weird sadistic megalomaniac god that seems more like an edgy teen than a god.
So far while reading, I found it interesting, but his personality is rubbish, the guy is very passive, he's Dante's poha, neflin still '-'. Killing mutants is easy for him, and you let weapons be stolen, why do you let mutants enter the ring?
was all up for reading the story til i realized that this is a failed reboot DMC crossover with marvel and not a person who becomes any of the devil may cry versions, disappointing, but the fact the writing really just shows the author doesnt know how to naturally add the mc into the world
Enough tension to snap the string. The early story never lets go of the tension for a moment. Honestly, I wasn't going to review until the author introduced other enhanced individuals - Everyone else is the ultimate version while MC's just an idiot with the powers of an energy starved nerfed version of a nerfed version on the deathbed with cancer. Even with an interdimensional storage at his behest, he gives away his weapons at first opportunity, every single time. The MC doesn't do anything except rush in head first. He doesn't think of any alternatives besides "HEY, Dante could do this!" and just blindly ignores other options. It doesn't help that the X-Men also seem to believe they can legally incarcerate someone.
Well, the author is quite realistic here.I love the fact that Dante is experiencing Murpheys law right now.kinda puts me at the edge of my seat cause I want the boy to rest. he has been from one problem to the next.things have not been going his way.I look forward to how he will end up overcoming all these troubles, though.Anticipating the chapters. So, for readers looking for a character that will have smooth sailing the moment he wakes up in a new world and one shots everything and everyone, trampling on all who comes his way like some Chad-god, this ain't for you. cause you will see the main character struggle.you see him bleed and sweat and tire for some form of stability, and it makes it very human and real.thanks, author, for the good read

This novel will have romance or harem?
One of the better fics out there in web novel in my opinion. Not a masterpiece by any means but a very good read nonetheless. It is always interesting seeing some good character growth and development. Some people may not like how relatively weak the protagonist is. But for me who has seen cliche multiversal dark edge lords making their harem. It is breath of fresh air for me personally. I mean potentially he is going to be even more op in the future than the og Dante which quite good in my opinion. The only thing that I can say to people who maybe reading this review is:
MC reincarnated into Dante from DMC reboot who is Half Angel and Half Devil so that he has more room to grow. Thank you Mr Author for the fanfic. I like the original Dante look tbh
