Mother's day

Over the years, Elle had gotten very good at one thing…reading Giovanni Romano. To other people trying to read Gio Romano was like trying to get a rock to bleed. But Elle was his wife, and before that, the two of them had been sleeping together exclusively for years.

Which was why Elle knew almost instinctively that something was wrong. It had all started the day Gio had ventured out for the first time. Spending the day in one of his secret offices, doing research.

He had found something out then, a breakthrough. But whatever it was, it had shaken him to his core. Since then, Elle'd heard him muttering to himself form time to time, talking about finding someone, being louder than usual since he had not mastered regulating his volume without his hearing.

On top of that, there was something else.
