Chapter 29 : SC Membership For Yura...

Leo was looking at the girl who was quietly standing before him, eyeing him curiously up and down like she was judging him.

Seeing she was not speaking and looking at him intently, Leo coughed twice to get her attention.

"So you are the one who was sent here for studies, huh... What's your name?"

Tapping his finger on the table, Leo asked Yura, who was standing in front of him, and signalled her to take a seat.

"I am Yura Keikain, a junior onmyoji. I came here to experience living independently and also to know about you."

Hearing Leo's question, Yura hesitated for a second, took a deep breath, introduced herself to Leo, and explained her purpose to him openly.

With a raised eyebrow, Leo looked at Yura in surprise. He expected her to fabricate some lies but didn't expect her to state her purpose openly.

"Because of you, the Yokai's presence and migration increased significantly in Kyuto, along with the northern territory becoming chaotic."

With narrowed eyes, she pointed at Leo and stated her reason.

Since the hotel Continental was established in the southern territory, they had completely taken over the southern territory while Nurarihyon joined the Continental as one of the senior executives, which also made the east territory come under the hotel's banner.

Following his friend, rival, and fellow clan head of the east territory, Inugamigyobu Danuki, the clan head of the Shikoku Hachijuhakki Yako of the west territory joined in as a fellow senior member.

So many Yokai who were dissatisfied with the Continental hotels or being hunted down by them fled to the northern territory where the influence of the Continental had not yet spread.

With the call connected, Leo first said his code name, summoned one of the employees by a code name, ended the call and put the receiver back on the telephone.

A woman entered the room and bowed her head, greeting Leo, who was sitting in his place.

Seeing the woman entering the room and greeting Leo respectfully, Yura looked at her silently.

"Yura, meet Nene. She is an onmyoji like you but not working here... Nene, you take her to the registration area, register her as a temporary member, and allocate her a room. She will pay the rent after taking a few missions. Show her around our hotel."

Leo nodded his head and introduced Nene to Yura, who looked at her with wide eyes when he mentioned Nene was also an onmyoji.

Nene took Yura with her to complete her boss's order.

Taking a Continental currency from her pocket and handing it to Yura, she showed her the way.

Nodding her head, Yura took the coin and examined it curiously.

"It will be considered a loan. That one coin is equal to 5,000 credits, which is the required amount needed to be paid through missions."

Seeing Yura curiously examining the coin, Nene explained to her about the coin's value.

Yura went through the line and arrived at the front of the registration desk.

"State your purpose."

A big Yokai with a pig face sitting inside the registration table started asking questions to her.

"???"

"Yura Keikain."

"Race?"

"Human."

"Occupation?"

"Onmyoji,"

Yura answered every question the pig Yokai at the registration desk asked.

When Yura mentioned a special category, the pig Yokai took a seal and stamped a card with bold green letters of "SC" on it.

He asked her to show her hand.

When Yura showed her hand, the pig Yokai took a needle and poked her finger.

Blink~ blink~

Not expecting the Yokai to take her blood, Yura stared at the pig Yokai, who pointed her finger on top of the white card he had previously stamped with the SC seal.

She knew what a person could do using the enemy's blood in Voodoo since she is an onmyoji who has to deal with this stuff from time to time.

Before she could stop it, the blood from her finger fell on the card, which immediately absorbed it and turned into a green-coloured card with her image and code name on it, which was SC101.

The pig Yokai gave the card to Yura with a smile and congratulated her.

After getting her membership card, Yura came back to Nene, who was waiting at the start of the long queue.

Nodding her head, Nene took her to the hotel front office to check in and get her room.

Along the way, Yura saw many things that made her eyes nearly pop out while looking at the paintings, weapons, and statues present along the way.

When she saw a portrait of Leo standing in the sky with red-blooded eyes, looking down on the soldiers who were running for their lives.

There were also many portraits of Leo with Dracula and his friends smiling brightly while Mavis stood beside him shyly.

Seeing Yura looking at these things curiously, Nene, with a proud look on her face, excitedly explained the story behind the portraits.

When Nene first arrived here, she was stunned to look at the wording in the states and below the paintings; she was stunned.

On one occasion, emails stated that everything in it was true and told her the story her dad used to tell before sleep.

Hearing it, Nene was shocked, and with her power of words, the stories slowly started to spread among the others like wildfire.

Nene took five small coins of gold colour and gave them to Shin, who took them.

"Miss, could you please provide me with your membership card?"

Taking the money, Shin asked Yura for her membership card to book the room.

Nodding her head, Yura took her membership card and gave it to Shin, who placed it on top of the stone tablet on the side with weird carvings on it.

Beep~ beep~

Beep~ beep~

When the card was placed, the carvings beeped in white colour three times, and on the final beep, the colour changed from white to green.

Giving the card back to Yura, Shin took a key to room number 10 and gave it to her.

Taking the key from Shin's hand, Yura went to her room with the guidance of Nene.
