Fifty-five

After failing to get any useful information about Elise from our 'date', I decided to go back to the hotel, as it seemed to be the only place where I could relax and unwind. I had a lot of questions and doubts in my mind, but I also felt exhausted and drained from the day's events.

I climbed the stairs quickly, eager to reach my room and enjoy some privacy. I didn't bother to use the magic elevator, as it was always crowded and slow. I eventually got to the door of my room and opened it.

" You're finally back!" Lydia's voice startled me and I almost fell to the floor. I looked up and saw her sitting on my bed, with her arms crossed and a pout on her face.

"What are you doing in my room?" I asked, surprised and annoyed that Lydia had invaded my personal space.
