There were many creatures that came out of the Abyssal Opening. Jellyfish-like slugs, eels, flying fishes with no eyes, a creature that looked like a human face that could fly, and many more varieties. The Sea of Leviathans was indeed a diverse place.

Many things crawled out, and one by one, Ethan and Scarlett watched as they died. Most of them were slain by Hungjun, who was in a position to deal with the smaller creatures. From some of them, Ethan and Scarlett could even sense the immense aura of Colorless Essence.

But those levels of creatures were immediately slain by the palm-sized Spirit Patriarch and they didn't get to go and devour it. Scarlett and Ethan were both filled with greed but at the same time, wariness. They didn't want to reveal their ability to cultivate by killing beasts.
