Limit Break: Destroy Your Restraints

On June 17th, 2020, a mysterious portal manifested in the heart of New York, cycling between an open and closed states every 40 minutes. Despite the danger posed by the portal, the US Government, unable to ignore the mysteries within, dispatched a specialized SWAT team for reconnaissance.



Initially, their venture proved successful as they encountered smaller monsters, utilizing futuristic tech and making intriguing discoveries. However, their fortunes took a dark turn when confronted by a colossal beast, unparalleled in ferocity, which mercilessly slaughtered the team. The imminent threat to the world was only averted when the portal abruptly sealed itself.



Fast forward to September 10th, 2022. To counter this enigmatic menace, the government, in a desperate move, turned to abandoned death row inmates and similar individuals. These individuals became subjects of experimentation, with the aim of creating super soldiers powerful enough to overcome the unknown horrors residing within the portal.



The story begins as Theodore Willsreach, an 18-year-old incarcerated for the murder of his parents, finds himself approached by a mysterious agent. The agent presents him with an offer – undergo experimentation for the chance at freedom.
