MAYA.
The campus was buzzing with that unmistakable back-to-school energy. I could feel it in my bones as I strolled through the crowded quad, barely able to keep the smile off my face. My second lecture had just wrapped, and I was ready to throw down some delicious pastries at the amazing café in town with Eric and Sasha.
The sun was shining down, casting a warmth that felt infinitely better than the endless lectures. I could practically taste their chocolate drizzle and a blueberry muffin that Andrew ordered last time as I made my way to my car, weaving through groups of students reuniting after the Christmas break. There was an exciting vibe, with laughter and gossip bubbling up all around me. Just as I was near the exit, though, I felt the mood shift. My heart dropped a little as I spotted Stella— or should I say "Slut"—standing there with her posse of minions.
