MAYA.
The first day back on campus was…a lot. My head was still buzzing with new information from lectures, and honestly, just the sheer number of people on campus after this short break felt overwhelming. It was good to see familiar faces, though. Catching up with people, even just for a few minutes between classes, felt like a small victory.
Later in the evening, I was just relaxing at my place when Hossein stopped by. He looked a little preoccupied, which wasn't totally unusual, but there was something extra in his expression tonight.
"Hey," I said, offering him a seat. "Rough day?"
He shrugged, managing a small smile. "Yeah, you could say that. How was yours? First day back and all?"
