HOSSEIN.
The first thing I felt was light. Too much light. I blinked my eyes open slowly. The room was bright. The sun was coming in through the big window. My head felt thick. Like I had been sleeping very deeply. My body felt… loose. Relaxed in a way it usually wasn’t. I looked around. This wasn’t my room. The colors were different. The furniture was different.
Then I remembered. Last night. Hotel. Liam. Staying.
And then I felt him. A warm weight against my back. An arm draped over my waist. Slow, steady breathing against my neck.
Liam. He was still here. Still sleeping. He hadn’t woken me up. He hadn’t left.
He shifted a little, his arm tightening. A soft groan came from him. He wasn’t fully awake yet.
I lay still for a moment, feeling his presence. It was… different. Comfortable, in a way I hadn’t expected. After everything that had happened, just lying here, feeling his warmth, felt surprisingly…easy.
