Five months flashed by so quickly.

It was summer break already. I was glad to leave school for a while.

That school was suffocating. Senior year came different.

I was dating Caesar now and that bothered bitches that didn't even have a chance to have him.

Bitches.

Anyway we were happier than ever.

I loved him.

We spent most of our time together when he wasn't busy helping his dad or when I wasn't baby sitting my little brother.

My mum had my little brother a week ago. I wasn't excited during the baking process but when he came out he was so precious.

For someone who didn't really go to church my mum had a thing for names in the bible.

My brother was Demetrius Adam McCoy. He was probably gon go by Adam.

I hope she didn't "forget" to add Adam to the birth certificate.

"Why are you nervous. Its just my mum. If my dad loves you she will too. " Caesar told me.

Caesar's mum served her time and was out of jail.

She was released three weeks ago.

He wanted me to meet her.

I was scared because mum's have a problem. I mean my mum wouldn't even let Caesar in when he came over to see me.

"What if she's like my mum? " I asked.

"She's nothing like your mum, yo momma crazy. " he said making us both laugh.

We were on my bed. We had just finished watching a movie.

Dinner was set. It was just my mum and I because my dad was out of town.

"Yo girl better not be late on me boy. " my mum said humorously as she walked passed me.

I was at the dinner table, texting Genesis.

After a minute or two I heard a knock at the door and rushed to it.

It was Genesis.

She looked so beautiful.

She had on a black, velvet, body hugging dress on. It was short and sleeveless showing all her features well. She never really dressed like this.

She also had her make up done and her lips were glowing with lip gloss.

Her hair was well gelled and tired backwardly.

She looked simply beautiful with the dress and the Nike's.

My mum was going to love her.

"Are you crazy? " Genesis asked me when I tried to kiss her.

I just laughed and let her in.

"I'm not letting you ruin my lips. " she added.

"Oh my God! " my mum said when she saw Genesis. She said it in a tone of fear and made a facial expression as though she had seen a ghost.

There was no covering that.

Genesis had that look on her face. The look I was all too familiar with.

She was pissed, irritated, hurt.

"Uhm.... You can uhm. You can sit down. " she said trying her best to cover her guilt.

We were all sitting now. Genesis wanted to leave. She didn't tell me but I could see it by the look on her face.

For starters, there was no introduction. My mum rushed to the eating part.

Everything was awkward and I didn't know how to intervene.

My mum wanted this. In fact she prepped herself for this day.

She even planned the jokes she was going to say.

My mum was loud and for once she was quiet.

"I'm Teri. " my mum finally said after putting her cutlery down.

Genesis just looked at her and said nothing.

"This is Genesis... Genesis McCoy. " I told my mum because Genesis wasn't going to.

"I'm human girl and I wasn't expecting to see whatever that is. " my mum said rudely.

"Mum." I said trying to get her quiet.

"It is genetic. Like if you and my son have babies, will my gran babies have that too. " my mum asked.

Genesis was still quiet as I got my mum to sit quiet too.

My mum asked even more questions. "How did you get it? Does it hurt? Am I asking too many questions? Is it contagious? How is school for you? Do you get bullied? "

I'm the one that answered all of them.

Genesis was still muted.

I was hurt. Irritated. Pissed off.

This was the woman I was excited to meet? The one I tried to please. The one I wore make up for. The one I wore a type of dress that I wouldn't even sleep in because I felt that insecure about myself.

My phone beeped. It was a message from my mum.

Her and Brian were spending a night at the hospital. She was fine, Adam had a fever but he was fine now too he just had to spend a night on observation.

"Okay let's redo this, this time with us girls talking huh. " Caesar's mum went on.

"Can I go home? " I asked and stood up. " the food was amazing and it was nice to meet you too. " I said and looked as though I meant it.

Teri just sat quiet but Caesar followed me out.

It was no use because I wasn't listening to him or anyone anyway, I just wanted to go home.

Caesar

The minute Genesis left I went back into the house, grabbed the things I needed for the night and walked passed my mum. I was going to Genesis'.

"Tell her I'm sorry! " my mum yelled from inside when I already left.

When I got to Genesis' house, she had already changed. She was wearing a big Tee and I couldn't really tell if she had shorts on.

All the makeup was gone too.

We were both in her bathroom. I had never been in her bathroom before.

It was large and luxurious if I must say.

She was staring at herself in the long wide mirror.

She wasn't saying anything and I could barely hear her breathing.

I don't know if she wanted me here right now but the door was open when I got here so.

I don't think its okay to leave her alone like this.

This staring went on for at least thirty minutes.

I was sitting on her bathroom bin at a distance.

"It was my bad though right? " she finally asked.

I got up and went to her slowly. I stood right behind her and hugged her.

His embrace was all I needed. I didn't even want him to say anything.

He hugged me tight and I closed my eyes. Feeding my mind with what made me happy.

Caesar

When I looked in the mirror, her eyes were closed.

I wonder what she was thinking.

I kissed the back of her left ear a few times, making sure she had me in her thoughts too.

I wanted her to feel my love.

She smiled.

Genesis

I found myself smiling. My eyes were open now.

He smiled too.

His smile was so beautiful. Teeth perfectly arranged.

"It would have gone better and I'm so so sorry it went the way it did. " he apologized.

His voice sounded deeper than usual.

"Its okay. " I said honestly.

"You're so beautiful. " he told me as we both looked in the mirror.

I proceeded to kiss the top of one of his arms. His arms were crossed over my chest and my hands were holding onto them.

He continued kissing the side of my head, going doing to my neck

I loved his gentle, slow and soft pecks.

I could feel his breath on my neck and it made me feel something I didn't really understand.

I wasn't trying to be selfish or take advantage of her sadness but i wanted to make love to her.

I knew she wanted this as much as I did.
