~Uncle, love me deeper~

[Side story]

Selena went to the library to get a few books. Psychology was one of her favorite subjects. It was her partner during her free time. Selena took two books and was ready to walk into class, but Mia appeared. Mia was standing in the corner of the corridor. When she and her friends noticed Selena, they gave her a weird look.

Selena lowered her head and adjusted her spectacles. She really didn't want to get into any more trouble. So she tried to overtake them. But then Mia yelled her name, "Selena."

Selena stopped and stared at her. Mia approached her and asked, "Are you going home?"

Selena was taken aback when she heard Mia. ‘Why is she asking about this?’ Selena thought. "Yes," Selena said with a nod. Mia abruptly said, "Can I drive you home?"

Selena gave her a startled gaze while pondering her thoughts. ‘Why is she saying something like that?'

"It's okay, Mia; I'll walk home by myself," Selena replied as she started walking. But Mia took her hand in hers and begged, "Please wait, Selena. First, listen to me."

Selena came to a halt there to listen to her. "Actually, I'm sorry. I mean, we're sorry. We shouldn't have harassed you in the first place. Kyly and I are both ashamed of what I did to you that day."

When Selena glanced at them, they had a big smile on their faces. She knew closely that they were faking it. They were apologizing, but they weren't apologizing from the bottom of their hearts.

‘It's been six months since that incident, and now you've come to say sorry to me. What a farce!’ Selena thought as she smiled lightly and said, "Mia, it has been six months. Now you guys have come to say sorry. I don't get it. Even yesterday, you said something bad about me to your classmates."

Mia tried a smile and said, "Selena, you have misunderstood me. Believe me, I didn't. Who claimed I said something bad about you?"

Selena sighed; she simply didn't want to talk about that. If she brought it up, Mia would never confess. So, Selena stated, "Maybe I'm. You don't have to apologize to me, though. Since I'd already forgotten about the incident."

"Then you forgive me, Selena," Mia said, her eyes shining as she took her hand in hers. She smiled as she nodded.

"All right, then," Mia said, "let me drive you home."

"No, it’s okay, Mia," Selena replied, but Mia stopped her and said, "That means you're still mad at me, huh?"

"Come on, Selena," Kyly urged, "we've all been begging for you."

"But," she was about to say, but Mia interrupted, "it means you don't want me as a friend."

Selena narrowed her eyes when she heard Mia. ‘Friend? Why does she want me to be her friend?’ Selena thought as she tried to ease the situation by saying, "OK, let's go together."

Selena really didn't want to offend her. Mia smiled and took her hand after hearing her, "Thank you very much, Selena. Let's go together." She dragged Selena away after saying this. Selena's eyes widened as she saw her excitement and curiosity. But she needed to inform Jack. Otherwise, he would wait for her.

"Mia, you guys go," Selena said. "I have to inform Jack, or he'll wait for me."

"Jack?" Mia said, her brows narrowing as she glanced at Kyly.

"Selena, don't be concerned. I'll tell him," Kyly explained.

"Yes, Selena. Don't be concerned about it," Mia added as she pulled Selena into the car and ordered the driver to drive. They didn't give her a split second to say anything. She stared at Mia, thinking to herself, "Does she truly want me to be her friend?" Selena looked at the screen of her phone.

"So, what should we do?" One of Mia's friends said. Kyly grinned and said, "Let him wait. We don't have to say anything to him."

[The story moves to Ivy.]

It was getting close to dusk. Ivy had only met Aaron once. He gave her a strange and bashful stare. When their gazes met, he lowered his gaze and bolted away.

But it had been about three hours, and he still hadn't come downstairs. ‘Should I visit him in his room?’ Ivy thought as she tossed the magazine away. She made up her mind to go to his room. She got up and walked over to his room. But then she heard a girl's voice behind her saying, "Excuse me."

Ivy turned back and said, "Yes." She checked her from head to toe. ‘Who is she? I've never seen her before.’

She said, "Can I meet Mr. Franklin?" Ivy arched one eyebrow and remarked, "No, Dad hasn't come yet. But who are you?"

"Oh, you are brother's daughter. Hello, my name is Rosina," she said.

‘What?’

Hearing her name, Ivy widened her eyes. She took a quick glance at his door before turning to face her.

"Yes, you can tell me. What do you want?" Ivy said this with a forceful smile on her face.

"You can't help me with this, sweetheart," she added with a smile. Hearing her, Ivy narrowed her eyes.

"You can simply tell me," Ivy said.

"Can I have a seat?" she said, smiling. Ivy rolled her eyes as she thought, ‘I simply want you to leave our house, but I can't since you're my father's guest.’

"Of course, sure. Please tell me now."

"Is your uncle here?" she asked with a nod. Ivy said quickly, "Nope, he isn't here." She nodded slowly when she heard it, as it seemed she wasn't expecting that response. "Now, please tell me," Ivy said as she sat down alongside Rosina on the couch.

"What's your name?" she asked, chuckling.

"Ivy. Don't you want to tell me?" Ivy asked. She burst out laughing when she heard her. Ivy made a grumpy face.

"Ivy, I think I have to tell you now. But could you kindly call your mother here?" She said.

Ivy gazed up at the ceiling. ‘Hmm! Let me call Mom.’ "All right," Ivy said as she dashed into her room.

Ivy said, "Mom."

"Ivy, what's the matter? Can't you come slowly?" Tati snarled.

"No, mom," Ivy replied, "someone is waiting for you. She is eager to meet uncle. But Uncle has a fever and is asleep."
