Chapter 344: Really Troublesome

For a moment, Accelerator couldn't think of a more accurate term than "non-human."

The tall, radiant figure, draped in loose white cloth, made it difficult to determine its gender, though it appeared feminine at first glance. Its expression was eerily calm, embodying all the joys and sorrows of humanity, yet beneath the surface lay something entirely alien, sending shivers down one's spine.

"—'Dragon'?"

The being spoke.

Accelerator felt a sense of dissonance. Although it had a human form, nothing felt more unnatural than hearing it speak human words.

"That term isn't wrong. Alternatively, you could refer to me as an 'angel.' At the very least, it's closer to the truth than titles like 'Holy Guardian Angel' or 'extraterrestrial intelligent life.'

But… I am fundamentally different from the angels recorded in the Bible. Therefore, to accurately describe my existence, a different term should be used.

You should know this, right?"

The earlier words were directed at Accelerator. The final sentence, however, was addressed to the third person in the room.

"Oh? You weren't willing to tell me your name earlier, but now you're revealing it to Accelerator? Isn't that a bit unfair?"

"He's someone who has relentlessly pursued the truth to this point. People like him are rare, so he's worthy of knowing my name. As for you, Li Mo, didn't you already know my name? You learned it when I imparted the necessary knowledge to you."

Li Mo shrugged.

It didn't surprise him that Aiwass knew he was already aware of its name.

He said, "Alright. This being is likely the one who imparted certain essential knowledge to a magician named Crowley. The term 'Aiwass' is more accurate than 'angel' or 'dragon' to describe it."

The name Aiwass appears in *The Book of the Law*.

Now, as one of the only two magicians in the world capable of deciphering *The Book of the Law*, Li Mo naturally knew of Aiwass's existence.

"Aiwass?"

This was an unfamiliar term.

Accelerator had long known that magicians existed outside Academy City, rooted in historical legends. Yet, among the vast array of literature, the term 'Aiwass' was rarely, if ever, mentioned.

—Or rather, it had never appeared at all.

He was somewhat bewildered.

Pursuing information about 'Dragon' was merely a result of his keen intuition that the name held significant importance. Group instinctively felt that this information could be used as leverage.

In his subconscious, Accelerator never expected to actually encounter 'Dragon.'

Yet here it was, leaving him struggling to keep up.

"Accelerator, you look utterly baffled. Aiwass, it seems you shouldn't have appeared here."

"Are you enjoying stirring the pot, Li Mo?"

"I just wanted to see your sarcastic side."

"Oh? Why would you think I'm like that?"

Li Mo didn't answer directly. Instead, he turned to the bewildered Accelerator and said, "You can ask it anything. If I recall correctly, Aiwass has accompanied our Board Chairman for a long time. To it, there are no secrets in Academy City."

"Li Mo, do you know a lot of things?"

"Yes, I know a lot. So much that revealing everything would force me to flee in disgrace. Doing so would cause irreversible deviations in Aleister's plans," Li Mo said.

"Do you have anything you want to ask?"

"No, I've thought it over. You'll tell him anyway, won't you? Although I don't know the specifics of Aleister's methods… not long ago, I saw clones of the #3 esper launching coordinated attacks across the world in a single night, didn't I?"

Li Mo continued, "After reading *The Book of the Law* and observing this city, I can vaguely sense what he's trying to achieve. And as far as I know, the #1 esper has a deep connection with a certain clone of the #3 esper. Connecting the dots…"

He snapped his fingers but didn't elaborate further.

This left Accelerator with much to ponder.

He had a vague premonition.

His connection with the clones of the #3 esper was inextricable. Combined with Li Mo's words, it was hard not to think of one key figure.

'Last Order.'

"You've figured it out to this extent? But it's fine. At this stage, you can't affect Aleister. Admittedly, there have been flaws in his 'plan.' Small cracks are gradually widening, and if this continues, even Aleister might face unforeseen consequences. However, that's still not enough for him to kill you."

"—By the way, if this continues, 'Last Order,' the core of the plan, will eventually collapse. But her role can simply be replaced by another clone. It's not a problem at all."

Aiwass spoke these words.

'Last Order.'

This single term unraveled all of Accelerator's plans.

Almost instinctively, he prepared to act.

But another person's words stopped him.

"There's a way to save Last Order, so don't try to kill Aiwass," Li Mo said, stroking his chin. "Oh, right. It seems you don't know Aiwass's current situation. Never mind…"

"Its condition is similar to Kazakiri Hyouka. To be precise, Kazakiri Hyouka was created as a prototype for Aiwass. Is that correct? Like what I did recently, using the AIM diffusion field as a vessel for an angel's descent. Aiwass can manifest by using this as a spiritual body."

Li Mo had only later realized why Aleister had allowed him to complete the angel's descent.

It was advantageous to him.

"It seems Li Mo has quite a soft spot for the #1 esper?"

"If you want to tease him, at least consider the setting. Isn't it a bit unfair for a being from the 'Horus Era' to bully a child still in the 'Osiris Era'?"

"You've truly understood *The Book of the Law*."

"After your teachings, if I still couldn't understand it, I'd look like a fool. Let me address Accelerator's concerns first."

Li Mo shifted his attention to Accelerator. "These are things Aiwass should have told you. But since I interrupted its test, I'll explain it to you.

If you want to save Last Order, you can't stay in Academy City. The doctor in District 7 is indeed skilled, but you can't rely on him for this.

Go to Russia! To be precise, the Elizavetina Independent State Alliance. It's becoming the most chaotic place on Earth, and at the center of that vortex lies something entirely different from esper abilities—magic."

After a pause, Li Mo added, "Also, remember the term 'Index Librorum Prohibitorum.' That girl will be at the heart of this conflict. And if you're truly lost, seek out Kamijou Touma."

Accelerator silently checked his electrode and said, "Why should a villain like me follow your advice? You're just spouting empty words."

Li Mo glanced at Aiwass.

The being simply said, "Shall we?"

"What a hassle."

Li Mo replied.

And so, the battle began.
