Brianna was a 28-year-old girl who had a miserable and destitute life because all the money she was paid was not enough to pay her mom’s hospital bills and their basic needs. Luckily for her, her uncle got a work for her to be a waitress at his club and that he will give her enough money to be able to take care of herself and her mom. She started to work there as a waitress, it was going on well until a she had a quarrel with one of their regular customers named Leon which was resolved when she was forced to apologize After some weeks later her cousin arrived in the country as she was out of the city some time ago to study. One night her father drugged Leon so that his daughter would sleep with him, unfortunately he slept with Brianna. He was later forced by his parents to marry her all though it was unintended, since they didn’t really like each other, it was a contract marriage between the two of them without the knowledge of their parents. This made Kelsey angry because she also liked Leon, so she tried to destroy the marriage in several ways, but all her plans failed. Life was still miserable because she and Leon always quarreled and fought over petty issues. They both opened a new page when her childhood friend wanted to marry her when the contract is over, he had admired her during their childhood years but never had the courage to tell. Leon did not agree so they ended up quarrelling each time he comes to visit her. Leon now realizes that he likes her and plans on confessing his love for her someday. One day Brianna was trying to separate a fight between Leon and her ex-boyfriend, and she ended up getting hurt. They both sat down on the couch and Leon bowed down his head facing the opposite direction whiles his mum watched him steadily and ravenously like a lion ready to eat him up.

''How was your date'' she asked humbly.

''It was exceptional'' he turned and said beaming with smiles to convince her.

''Don't you lie to me!'' she exclaimed and hits her hand on the sofa which made him terrified.

''You teased her and called her names right'' she inquired.

''Because I wanted her to leave. I already told you that am not interested in dating right now''

''Why aren't you interested, has someone hurt or dump you before?''

''No, who can resist a charming and dashing guy like me'' he said cheerfully.

''Then be serious for once and get a steady girlfriend''

''I will, just relax for me. I don't want to make any errors''

''I am trusting you for the last time. Don't bring me to disenchantment".

''I'll try but by one month you must have a steady girlfriend, if you're not able to find one; I will find a suitable partner for to marry, and there will be no excuses''

''What! Just one month, mom seriously!''

''Yes, don't forget, you are growing, and you will need someone to help you in the management of your dad's company and in your private life, if you can recall you're the only successor".

''How will you manage your restaurant with your dad's company? The earlier you settle down the better''

After the checkup, Brianna was invited to the doctor's office to discuss about the outcomes of the test.

''Come in and have a seat'' he said.

''How is her condition'' Brianna asked.

''It's manageable, all she must do is eat dietetic foods that's free from sugar and visit the hospital for regular sugar test. Also, she must take all her drugs at the right time with its correct dosage''

''Okay doctor, I'll make sure I do that''

''She can rest a little while before she leaves.''

''But what about the balance of the fees''

''Don't worry, I covered up the balance so she can take the test. You can repay me when you are settled''

''Thank you very much doctor. I'll make sure I will refund the money'' she said with gratitude.

''Okay, you may leave now. Your mum will want to see you''

Phone rings. The buzzing of the phone couldn't allow her to sleep and forcibly made her to get down from the bed listlessly and walked towards the study table to pick up the call.

She picks the phone and answers the call.

''Hello, I'm Donald; Mr. Leon secretary''

''I've been standing Infront of your door for some time now and nobody seems to answer when I ring the bell''

''Excuse me, where are you?'' she asked surprised to hear that.

''I'm here to have a brief conversation with you about your date yesterday''

''Oh okay, I hope your boss isn't with you''

''That's good. I'm not ready for insults this early morning''

She gets up, changes into a presentable outfit and walks to the door to let him in.

''Hi'' she says as she opens the door widely to welcome him in

He steps in and sits on the cuddler while she pours out some coffee in the glass jar to serve him.

''Here you go'' she said stretching her hands towards him.

''My pleasure" she said as she sat on the sofa next to him.

''You look quite familiar to someone I've met before, it's like I've seen you somewhere else other than the restaurant''

''Maybe, because I also felt like your voice sounds familiar, other than the restaurant when I saw you''

''Looks like we're both on the same page''

''Okay, now back to the main purpose of my coming'' Donald said.

''What really happened between you and Leon at the restaurant?'' he asked.
