"Alright, fine. My deck’s already built and ready for duels anyway. I’ll join. No problem," Kaew said, conceding.
"Yes!" Joke pumped his fist in mock triumph, grinning mischievously.
"Do we need to pay a registration fee, Captain?"
Kaew asked as she leaned forward to read the tournament details. Joke nodded, his smile unwavering.
"Yep, it’s paid with points. For a D-rank tournament like this, the fee is just 100 points," he explained.
"Not bad," Kaew nodded in agreement. "Paying just 100 points and getting 20,000 back with two booster boxes? That’s a return as good as winning the lottery."
Her remark drew a chuckle and a nod from Joke, who added, "The good thing is, controlling who wins first place is a lot easier than playing the lottery."
"Sure thing, Mister Genius!"
