Just in Time Part I

"Ugh..."

The new morning wasn’t all that bright and cheerful. Maybe it was because the sky was overcast, filled with dark clouds ready to unleash rain all across Bangkok soon.

If not for the thought that the rain might slightly ease the PM2.5 pollution (just a little), everything else would only be headaches—floods, traffic jams, and so on. Just imagining it made Joke, who was stretching on his bed, let out a long sigh after glancing at the window and the time displayed on his phone. It was already 11:25 A.M.

“Sigh... Did I really sleep this late?”

He could understand that his body was worn out after several days of grueling work. Especially last night, which had been so intense that he’d passed out in front of his online equipment for the first time. Still, he hadn’t thought that he’d come home and essentially warp straight to waking up almost at noon like this.

“I can’t let this happen. I’ve got to hurry…”
