Love at First Sight

No sooner had they seated themselves than Logan Harrington came forward to offer his attentions, his gaze, however, never straying from Amelia Davidson. 

 

"No, no, let's move to a private room," he insisted. 

 

Emma Hart looked up, puzzled. "But we were told there were no private rooms available just a moment ago," she objected. 

 

Logan's eyes remained fixed on Amelia, who seemed to ignore his stares completely. 

 

His tone, usually so bold and brash, softened considerably. "Maybe not for others, but how could we not have one for you?" he retorted, his demeanor hinting at the lengths men go to impress women. 

 

Emma couldn't help but recall the type of women she usually saw Logan with—overly dramatic and coquettish. Was Amelia Davidson, with her mature charm, really Logan's type?

 

Emma watched, following Logan's enamored gaze toward Amelia.
