Chapter 175: More of the Expo

[3rd POV - Lois Lane]

Lois Lane was...confused. She had been told by her boss to go to some Expo that a billionaire was holding for a company they were starting. She had gone to the Expo out of necessity due to her boss, not out of want. But now that she had been here for more than an hour, she realized very quickly that this "Talia Morningstar" was...simply incredible.

The technology that she was planning on selling, from what she could tell, was at LEAST a decade beyond anything any competitor had. It was to the point that even the experts on the different pieces of tech (Phones, laptops, tablets, etc) were all agreeing that if this was all true, and was going to genuinely work how it was advertised, it would change the landscape of those areas forever.

Afterall, Apple would no longer be able to slack off, if they ever wished to reach the levels that she was seeing here today. Lois couldn't think of anyone who had a phone as thin as the one Morningstar Industries was selling, nor has she ever seen a camera so smooth and high quality. And with the prices she was seeing, Lois was quite tempted to pick up a few of her products herself, once they were tested and safe of course.

It wasn't just the technology that surprised Lois, but the connections. She had already seen several very very very powerful people walking through the Expo Halls, like the CEO of certain Retailers that would be selling these items, like Best Buy, Verizon, to more...questionable ones like Lena Luthor. The fact that the woman had even invited social media influencers like Linus Tech Tips, MKBHD, Austin Evans, and MrWhosTheBoss, was another surprise, as she hadn't expected to see people like them with the "Big Shots".

But from the way the nerds were reacting, it seemed that the technology that Talia was showing off was even more impressive than she thought.

Getting hands on with several of the pieces of tech, Lois soon realized that whatever material used to make them was...completely and utterly unique. As she hadn't heard of a material light enough, easy enough to change, and durable enough to do half the things these phones and tablets could do with that material.

From what the others in the hall had said, the main event was supposed to have even more advanced tech, and after asking a few of the workers, it seemed that it wouldn't be the same "Type" of tech as the rest of the floor ones, instead it would be much more expensive, and would be more for companies and those with deep pockets, for the most part at least. A bit of a red flag, but Lois just hoped that whatever it was, it wouldn't be bad.

"How much is she revealing during the main event?" Lois asked a worker who glanced at her with a small friendly smile on her face. The woman had been doing the introduction to a piece of technology that Talia was in the process of making, a high end GPU for computers, one that was far beyond anything on the market, and was cheaper than most. It was called the "MStar 1" GPU, and was the thing that most of the nerds were freaking out about, mainly because of the specs in the thing.

"I cannot tell you the exact amount, ma'am. But I can tell you that it is more than 3, and will absolutely change the world forever" The woman replied with a grin, as Lois raised an eyebrow.

"Change the world how?"

"That is up to the world to decide, ma'am. Whether it is a good thing or a bad thing, will be up to their reactions to it. But my boss is quite confident that it will improve the world as a whole" The woman responded a moment later.

Lois looked a little concerned on what this could be, but nodded slowly, deciding that she shouldn't push it with the questions. She knew that if she did push it, then she could either be kicked out, or worse, banned from future events that Morningstar Industries may host in the future.

"Ah, it would seem that the main event will be beginning shortly, I'd suggest you make your way to the main room for it" The woman said after she glanced at the time. At this piece of information, Lois's eyes widened as she glanced at the time, before she thanked the woman and ran off, not wanting to be late, and not wanting to be sitting in the back.

'Let's hope I can get there on time!'

[3rd POV - Talia Morningstar]

Standing at the side of the stage, hidden, Talia smiled as the room was completely full, watching as the last of the guests entered the room and found their seats. She had been waiting a while for them to get there, and now they were. Seeing as everyone was there, Talia motioned for the announcer to begin.

"We shall now begin the main event and presentation of this expo. Please remain seated during this event. You are permitted to take pictures and videos, but please keep your flash off. And please make sure to mute your devices" The voice spoke out as they all made sure to do exactly that, before listening as the announcer continued, the symbol for Talila's company glowing onto the screen. It was the same symbol that was on the back of the phones she created.

"Now, I am pleased to introduce the creator and originator of all the devices that you have been shown today. The CEO and Creator of Morningstar Industries. Please give a warm welcome to Talia Morningstar!" The voice announced as Talia breathed in and began to walk out, claps reverberated around the room as everyone got a good look at the woman that had made the incredible technology they had been shown so far.

"Thank you, thank you! The applause is most welcome! But, I do believe that we have some things to get to, don't we? And unlike some of my...competitors, I see no reason to waste everyone's time" Talia began with a grin, as the screen behind her began to flash several times.

Over the past few days before the event, she ended up making some new products specially to reveal. They weren't all ready to be sold, but she didn't see why she should wait to reveal them to the world.

"From my understanding, many of my wonderful friends here love tech, right? Computers, Phones, Laptops, and everything cool and unique?" Talia began, as the screen began to show the first new device she had created recently.

"Well, this is one such device! I had found that for whatever reason, this form of technology was...severely lacking! And that is...Wi-Fi!" Talia said, as the newest item she had created appeared from the ground at her side, slowly being risen up from underneath the stage.

"I found that most Wi-Fi in this day and age are...unreliable! Severely unreliable at that. One wrong move, one pole down, or even something as small as a wire being touched, would unconnect the entire thing and take hours to fix! So, I thought "Why not make something a bit more reliable? Something that no longer relied on any sort of connection to wi-fi poles, but instead are connected directly to the satellites that my company have produced!" And this is that! A reliable new modem that will give you the best gaming experience for Wi-Fi, or the best connection for your phone, or whatever else you may use wi-fi for!" Talia began with a grin, as the tech influencers looked closely at the box. It was small but sleek, and had a golden sun on it, the symbol of her company.

"Of course, you can't have Wi-Fi without something like Cellular, right? Well I have also made something for that as well! A cellular plan that will allow you to connect to the internet - through Morningstar Industries personal satellites specially created for this sole reason - anywhere on the planet! From the highest peaks of mount everest! To the deepest darkest parts of the Amazon Rainforest, this cellular plan will work ANYWHERE. And the best part? You won't need to worry about overpriced charges for a simple plan!"

"This plan for both the Wi-Fi and Cellular - which comes with infinite data by the way - will cost a simple 50 dollars a month for both! And anyone who buys a Stellar Phone will get their 2 months for free for a limited time!" Talia explained as the tech influencers grew more and more interested.

"Of course, you must be asking how good that reception is, right? Well...I have a little friend that should be calling right about...now" Talia said as she pulled out a stellar phone and answered it, on the other side was one of her familiars, far off at the peak of Mount Everest.

"Ah, Adam, how is it on Mount Everest?" Talia asked as everyone watched in surprise.

"Cold as hell boss" Adam replied bluntly causing some members of the crowd to laugh, before Talia chuckled.

"Well I won't keep you, make sure to get down safely!" Talia said before hanging up and turning back to the crowd with a grin.

"Looks like everyone is interested, perfect! More information on the plan is up on our website, where you can pre-order both of them. They will be released across the world next month, so keep an eye out! Now, let's move on to something else a bit more...important" Talia said as the small pillar that was holding the box went back into the stage below.

Talia had long since decided to not show off the pills and such during this event, but instead release that in the future. As this was more of an Expo for technology rather than medicine, so it'd be best to do that one later. Meaning she only had a couple of more things to show off.

The next thing Talia had shown off was her own brand of CPU's, Motherboards, SSD's, Power Supplies, and basically all other parts needed to build a PC. All of them had the tech influencers practically drooling as they realized that what she had was definitely unique, and much superior to the likes of NVIDIA, Intel, and AMD.

After that she showed off a few other items, like a specialized ring that could perfectly keep track of your health to an incredible degree, a printer that was cheaper than any of the competitors, more consistent and clearer, and a few more.

But now, now as the main event, and the one that Talia was the most excited for.

"I'm glad you're all enjoying this! But, this will be the last presentation shown. But fear now, it is the most important of them all, and one that WILL change the world!" Talia began, as the stage split apart, a box slowly rising from underneath. The Cradle was slowly being revealed to the world, as they all looked at it in confusion. Only to look surprised as a man walked out onto the stage.

"I won't explain what this is just yet, but instead, I shall show you! This is Sergeant Jones, a decorated Veteran that served in Iraq, but lost an arm to an IED" Talia said, as she shook the man's left hand, his other being the one that was sadly blown off.

"Sergeant Jones, if you will" Talia said with a nod, as the man breathed in and walked to the cradle. Slipping his shirt off, he was left in nothing but his boxers. The crowd watched confused as the man climbed in, and the lid of the Cradle slid shut.

"Now watch! As I change the world" Talia grinned, as she pressed a singular button, and the cradle glowed brilliantly.

"The next age of healing...is here!" Talia practically yelled, as around a minute later, Sergeant Jones stumbled out, being lifted by one of her familiars, as gasps filled the room, for Sergeant Jones's arm was...healed.

"Thank you for your service, Sergeant. I truly do hope you'll use that arm well" Talia said softly to the man who hugged her deeply, struggling not to cry as he walked off the stage.

Turning back to the crowd, Talia's grin widened into a wide smile.

"So...shall I talk more on my...Cradle?"

That's the end of the chapter!

Next chapter will be the tail end of the Expo, some quest completions, some leveling, probably another time skip, and that's about it. As not every episode is going to be covered for Supergirl, as a lot of them are..kinda boring to be honest, and now that Kara has Whitebeards fruit, she can easily deal with most of the "Threats" that used to be a problem (Like Martians, Daxamites, Kryptonite, etc).

Not sure how well this was made, as I've never written something like an Expo before, so...yeah. I decided to throw in some real influencers for fun, as I love their content (Most LinusTechTips, it's the main tech channel I watch, even if I don't use my PC often lol).

Sorry about the late upload, but...I've been doing research. I'm getting back into gaming, but not the current state (Most games nowadays are just...not good), no instead, I'm getting back into the older games (PS3 to be specific) So I...kinda just lost track of time to be honest. My bad.

Fanon Maker will be getting updated later tonight, as I'm about to go and pass out.

Anyways, have a good day!
