"And who is she?" Asked Coulson with furrowed brows as he glanced at Tut while gesturing to Foster behind him.
"Oh, she's the one that drove the guy here. The same guy who beat up nearly every single one of your agents." Replied Tut lightly as he glanced at Foster before smirking, causing Coulson's expression to faintly darken.
"He's the one who stole my equipment and research, Blacksteel! I did nothing wrong; I just wanted my stuff!" Stated Foster in anger as she glared at Coulson before glancing at Tut, who rolled his eyes before rubbing the bridge of his nose in annoyance.
"Yeah, I know. You haven't shut up about it." Muttered Tut softly in slight annoyance as he glanced at Foster, who scoffed before stepping back and folding her arms in silence.
Raising my head, I glanced at Coulson, who stared back at me with that ever-so-friendly face that was more than capable of putting someone at ease; of course, I wasn't tricked by his acting.
"Did you steal her stuff, Coulson?" Asked Tut with a slight frown as he eyed Coulson with a raised eyebrow, causing him to quietly hum to himself.
"Hmm, stealing is putting it harshly." "You ransacked my place!" Stated Coulson and Foster, respectively, as the former faintly smiled while the latter yelled through her gritted teeth.
"Your equipment is specialized for discovering an aurora-borealis-type phenomenon, and considering what recently happened, we believed there to be some connection." Remarked Coulson lightly as he looked at Foster, who scoffed in annoyance while impatiently tapping her foot, though Tut intervened before she could.
"Listen, I don't care all that much since we've got more important things to deal with; just make sure to return her stuff once you are done here." Said Tut firmly as he raised his arms into the air while eyeing Coulson, who narrowed his eyes briefly before eventually nodding.
With that small ordeal out of the way, I led Mrs. Foster to a holding cell nearby where that dude from before was being held.
"How long do I have to stay?" "I don't know. Maybe an hour?" Asked Foster and Tut, respectively, as the former peacefully sat down and glanced at the latter, who shrugged his shoulders before turning around.
"W-Wait! I-I know this is weird of me to ask, but could I get a picture? It's not every day I get to meet the famous Blacksteel." Asked Foster with a sheepish smile as she gestured to her phone while glancing at Tut, who raised an eyebrow before nodding.
"Um, yeah, sure." Replied Tut with a hesitant nod as he rubbed his head while glancing at Foster.
Although I've been operating for multiple months as Blacksteel, this was the first time I would be taking a picture with someone; of course, I've been asked before, but I usually end up flying away before they could finish speaking.
Leaning downwards, I let Mrs. Foster wrap an arm around my shoulder as we both smiled into the lens of her phone before she took a photo while backing away.
"Thanks!" Said Foster with renewed vigor as she flashed Tut a slight smile while he nodded before closing he door behind him.
'I should probably get used to taking pictures with people.' Thought Tut lightly as he glanced to his right, glancing at Thor through the wall.
Since the dude was all by himself, I decided to enter and maybe get some information from him; though I didn't have much hope, he seemed completely out of it. Entering the holding cell, I closed the door behind me and approached the man; though I got no reaction from him, he didn't even glance at me.
"So, you're Thor? I honestly expected a God to be, well, more imposing." Remarked Tut lightly as he observed Thor, who didn't even flinch at his words, seemingly not listening.
Calling him Thor was a wild guess, one that I hoped would garner a reaction out of him, but other than his heart rate subtly speeding up for a split second, nothing out of the ordinary happened.
'Tsk, that's not enough evidence for me.' Thought Tut with a click of his tongue as he stepped forward and placed his hand on Thor's shoulder.
Using some strength, I pressed into him, figuring if he was truly Thor, he should be more than capable of withstanding my strength, but well, I was barely able to start before I heard a clicking noise, causing me to slightly wince as I looked at his dislocated shoulder.
"S-Sorry, about that." Muttered Tut apologetically as he quickly fixed Thor's shoulder, though he still didn't bother reacting.
Rubbing my head in confusion, I began mentioning everything I knew about Asgard from the numerous Norse Mythology books I've read, yet nothing I said sparked any reaction from him.
"Haa, alright, well, I've tried everything." Said Tut in defeat as he shook his head before exiting the holding cell while Coulson entered directly after him.
Hoping someone like Coulson, who specialized in this field, could get something out of him, I leaned against the wall and watched him interrogate the man, yet, similar to me, he got nothing even after fifteen minutes.
"Good job. Now let's try good cop, bad cop. I call dibs on the bad cop." Said Tut lightly as he glanced at Coulson, who exited the holding cell before shaking his head.
"We won't get anything out of him. Not now." Said Coulson, his words causing Tut to reluctantly nod while following behind him.
"So what now? I'm no Shield agent, so I don't exactly know what you guys do." "We come back later. Time can solve many things." Remarked Tut and Coulson, respectively, as the former curiously glanced at the latter, who glanced at his watch before nodding.
"Then I guess I'll leave; there is never a shortage of people to help and problems to solve." Said Tut lightly with a yawn as he stretched his arms while Coulson nodded in agreement.
Just as I prepared to leave, I glanced back at the dude we just failed to interrogate, only to furrow my brows when I saw him; he was looking upwards, almost as if he was looking at someone, yet, there was no one there. However, the most shocking thing was that his lips were moving, seemingly speaking to someone, though I couldn't hear his voice.
Stopping, I focused on him, reading his lips as I listened with my eyes; the talk didn't last for long, maybe two minutes, and by then, he seemed even worse off than before, but I had managed to decipher many things.
"Loki, Odin, death, banishment, Asgard. That fool, he really is Thor." Muttered Tut softly as he clenched his fist while looking at Thor, who slumped in his chair while faint tears streamed down his cheek.
While marveling at the fact I had just spoken with a fabled Norse God, I heard a commotion coming from the front of the base, prompting me to head that way, only for me to see Dr. Selvig.
"Eh, Dr. Selvig?" Said Tut subconsciously as he glanced at Selvig, who spoke with Coulson while showing him his driver's license.
Ignoring the obvious fake driver's license, I listened to him plead his case from the sidelines as he claimed Thor was Foster's ex-husband with steroid issues and whatnot. Of course, Coulson would have to be a fool to believe such apparent lies, but before he could refuse him, I swiftly appeared beside Selvig with Thor and Foster now standing beside him, both having no clue how they suddenly arrived there.
"W-What the hell?" Muttered Foster in confusion as she observed her new scenery before glancing at Selvig and Thor, both confused at their sudden arrival.
Standing beside Coulson, I wrapped an arm around his shoulder while waving at Dr. Selvig, Thor, and Mrs. Foster.
"Yep, everything checks out, Dr. Selvig. I did a background check on Mrs. Foster and inspected her ex-husband's body. He does indeed have an excessive amount of testosterone coursing through his body. Make sure to give him lots of water; try not to anger him; steroid rage is a real thing." Remarked Tut with a friendly smile as he glanced at Selvig and Foster before pointing at Thor.
"U-Um, t-thanks B-Blacksteel." Said Selvig hesitantly as he skeptically glanced at Tut before quickly motioning for Thor and Foster to leave, prompting them to exit the temporary base.
Once they left, I released Coulson, prompting him to rub his shoulders while suspiciously eyeing me.
"Why did you let them go?" Asked Coulson with a frown as he eyed Tut, who quickly began to explain everything, causing his brows to furrow.
"... So, I don't know about you, but I don't think it's the brightest idea to keep the son of the ruler of Asgard imprisoned for an extended period of time. That's just me, though." Replied Tut lightly as he defensively raised his arms into the air, causing Coulson to nod with a thoughtful expression.
"If he truly is Thor, why couldn't he lift Mjolnir?" "Maybe he wasn't worthy anymore? He wasn't strong either, but I'm no god, so who knows how their powers work." Remarked Coulson and Tut, respectively, as the former glanced at Tut curiously while the latter shrugged his shoulders in confusion.
"You're talking with an alien from another planet from across the universe; surely the thought of God's existing isn't THAT hard to fathom." Said Tut blandly as he rolled his eyes and folded his arms while eyeing Coulson, who tapped his chin but remained quiet.
"Keep eyes on on him, Agent Sitwell." Said Coulson as he turned and glanced at Sitwell, who nodded before walking away.
