Park

The day I was supposed to meet Loro I got up and showered while the baby was still sleeping. So was Lloyd and Hydra. I dressed in black tights, a black long-sleeve shirt, black boots, and a green jacket. I got out of the bathroom and found my husband just waking up. I looked at him but couldn't bring myself to say anything. I looked away and started brushing out my hair while hoping Lloyd hadn't noticed the tears in my eyes.

"Y/n," Lloyd said softly as he wrapped his arms around my waist from behind. I guess he did notice. "It will be okay. Jonathan will be coming home with us and Loro will be going to prison. Our plan will work. I know it."

I gave him a weak smile in the mirror. "We can only hope, Lloyd." I put my hair in a ponytail and snorted when Lloyd glared at me. "Bite me," I added because I knew he wanted me to let my hair down.

He rolled his eyes and lightly nipped my ear. "There," he murmured.

I made a face. "Ass whole."

He laughed. "Hey, you said bite you."

I gently stepped out of his arms and went to the crib. I picked Jonathan up and put him in a onsie. Then, with Lloyd's help, I strapped him to my chest. I scooped Hydra up and put her on my shoulder. "Alright," I said. "Let's get this over with."

Lloyd kissed me then the baby. "The Ninja and I will be around."

"Do you mean you already have your hiding spots?"

"Yes."

I inhaled deeply. "Okay." I walked out of the monastery and all the way to the park. I sat down on one of the benches and hummed softly to the baby. I glanced at my watch and saw I had two minutes until he got here. Twelve o'clock on the dot Loro showed up.

When he saw me he grinned. "Ah, so you decided to give him to me." He looked around. "Where are your guards?"

I pretended to be confused. "Do you mean Nya and Harumi?"

"Yes."

"Oh, I snuck out. No one knows I'm here."

"Nice." He stopped within two feet of me. "Doesn't your husband have a high sense of smell?"

I made a face. "Sort of. He might be half-dragon but I don't know if his senses are stronger."

"How long do you believe it will be before he comes and finds you?"

I shrugged. "He could be coming here now or we might have a few minutes. Who knows?"

"You should since he's your husband."

"He might be my husband but he has a mind of his own."

He nodded. "Okay. so hand over the baby."

I made their bracelets flash. I stood up and backed away. "No, I will not be giving you my child," I said firmly. The Ninja exploded out of their hiding places. They tackled him to the ground. I could feel Loro gathering power around him. He started muttering but none of the spells or curses landed. They all just slid off the Ninja. Good. The bracelets are doing their job. But suddenly there was a crack! and Loro disappeared.

Lloyd growled in frustration. "We had him," he snarled. "But he still got away."

I walked over and put an arm around his waist. "Shh," I said soothingly. "I'll make cuffs that will nullify his powers so you can put those on him. Once they're on he won't be able to do anything. Then you'll be able to get him. Okay?"

He looked at me. "Y/n, I want him in jail now. I don't like that you're going to be in danger every minute of the day. You and the baby."

I sighed and slipped the baby out of his harness. I gave him to Nya and wrapped my arms around my husband's waist. "You keep forgetting that I'm not defenseless, love," I said softly.

His arms came around me. "I'm not forgetting," he responded. "I just want to keep you safe."

I looked at the Ninja. "Go bring the baby home, please. My husband and I need a moment to ourselves." Nya nodded and they all left. I turned back to my husband and tightened my grip around his waist. "Lloyd, I'm married to a Ninja. I'm never going to be as safe as you want me to be."

"Then maybe we shouldn't..."

I glared at him. "Don't even think about saying we shouldn't be together, Lloyd Garmadon. I'm not divorcing you and I'm not leaving the monastery. I accepted my fate when I fell in love with you. I'm not changing my mind so you can just deal with it!"

He sighed. "Fine. But you haven't been training lately."

"I know but I had been pregnant." I paused. "I haven't forgotten how to fight though. So I'll be fine."

"Y/n, I don't even want you to fight! I want you to stay at home and be safe with Jonathan."

I looked at him evenly. "That's not your decision."

"I know but..."

I held up a hand. "No," I said gently. "I will fight if I need to, Lloyd." I thought for a minute. "If it comes to that Misako and Master Wu can look after Jonathan while we fight. Okay?"

"Y/n..."

My gaze sharpened. "No. This is the plan if it happens. Got it?"

He inhaled sharply then groaned when he saw I wasn't going to back down. "Fine. But if you fight, please stay by me," he pleaded.

I nodded. "Deal." I bit my lip. "Can we go home now? I think we've been away from the baby long enough."

He smiled. "Agreed." He made his elemental dragon and we flew home.
