George was annoyed.
He had begun work at the hotel quite a while ago and had been placed in housekeeping. It was a good job. He looked after rooms. Cleaned them out, restocked necessities and attended to the stock room.
The salary he got was more than he had hoped for, and George should have felt content that way.
But he was not.
The superiors he had were irritating.
They were neurotic about most everything and it got on his nerves.
Not a single working day went by without them pestering him for something or the other.
The way he folded laundry was wrong. The way he cleaned the room was not satisfactory. He had not removed the garbage from one room. He was not punctual. George did not put the tags back in their places in the rooms.
George had rolled his eyes several times.
If they were so worried about the condition of the room, why didn't they just do it themselves.
He was sick and tired of his job.
