Bruce Slader sat still as he listened intently to the conversation the men were having in the room beside the one, he was in with his boss.
Brent, the informant, had left one rather small window at the very top of the connecting wall between the rooms open. This allowed most of the words spoken by the men in the other room to be heard by Adonis Kane and Bruce Slader as long as they remained quiet.
Bruce had laid out some papers and pens on the table. Two of their digital tablets rested on the table as well, open, and ready to be typed into when needed.
Dark blue and soft green drinks sat between them, glimmering in the light.
The two sat there quietly, listening to whatever was being said in the other room.
The voices of the men were loud.
They stopped talking completely every time a waiter walked in with their drinks and food.
