I was devastated. 
This was not the life I had imagined. He simply couldn't leave my life after ruining me and breaking my heart. I decided to teach him a lesson for cheating on me.
I hooked up with his boss, Silas Sullivan, the handsome billionaire, the desire of every woman. And guess what, my ex-boyfriend crawled back to me and begged my forgiveness. 
“My heart is breaking, Esme. I-I want you back. Please forgive me.” 
I let out a soft chuckle, shaking my head with disbelief. “Are you kidding me, Mister Ray? Forgive you! No way.” 
I smiled triumphantly as I won the game. Julian would regret hurting me, and he would come after me for my forgiveness. But little did I know I had already made a grave mistake by meddling with Silas Sullivan.

Unaware that Esme had already left, Julian thought of waiting for her and giving her a ride. He intended to take her out to dinner. Although he knew she would refuse to come with him, he believed he could convince her. He would apologize to her and beg her forgiveness. Even if she cursed and scolded him, he wouldn't give up. He would keep pursuing her until he got her back.

In his mind, Julian rehearsed the words he intended to say to Esme, his heart pounding with anticipation.

'You pursued me in the past. Now it is my turn,' he murmured to himself. His thoughts buzzed with determination as he rode the elevator down to the underground parking area.

As the elevator doors slid open, Julian stepped out, his posture straight and his suit jacket neatly adjusted. Excitement coursed through him, mingled with a sense of anticipation for the encounter ahead.
