Surprised meeting

Panic clawed at Samira's throat as she scrambled back to her cabin, terrified as to she would get caught. She had been thinking of leaving early, but she was forced to stay. Silas would come and check her bag too. What would she do now?

With trembling hands, she fumbled for her phone, dialing the familiar number. The long ring stretched into an eternity before a gruff voice answered on the other end.

"What is it again?" the man barked, annoyance lacing his tone. "I have things to do apart from dealing with you."

"I'm in deep trouble," Samira said in a hushed tone. "And it's all because of you."

"What's wrong now? Explain yourself," the man demanded coldly.

"The diamond set? I stole it from Silas's office. Do you remember?" Samira glanced at the door, fearful that someone would enter and hear their conversation. Her voice dropped even lower as she added, "He ordered to check everyone's bag. No one is allowed to leave the office."
