Motivation Of The Century!

Chima sighed and slowly sat in a lotus position, her thinking seat.

So, it'd happened, what she'd wished to happen every single day of her life had really happened, definitely all her fake friends and aunties and uncles had died, half-hopefully.

The escape reality change had indeed happened, she was happy, a new life, a new body and 98% of the people she would meet although were gunning for her life, didn't know her.

Plus super powers.

But of course, a but THE but, she had to fight for this new life, this was definitely one of those be-careful-for-what-you-wish-for situation.

She also didn't have any preparations for this, it was like taking a teenager from a boring class and putting her at the from lines of a raging battle, but what the heck, this was the life she'd rooted for and she might as well grow them.

But...How could a girl like her, ever compare to a girl like Kiran? They were very different from eachother. Chima was underachieving and Kiran was overachieving.

She was the one always talked down on, the one even her parents felt ashamed of, the useless meat bag.

But aside all this thoughts was the wild world outside, the world full of dry roads hungry for her blood and it didn't matter if she was a loser, they'd suck her dry, so she'd try, no matter how hard she fell or how many times.

She was in a new world where she didn't live in the imagination of what people thought of her, she was in a new freaking world! And in this world she would choose her identity and that identity is by how she'd be identified, anyone who dared to identify her otherwise would be slain by mighty sword---Hopefully Kiran had a sword.

In this world she wasn't Chima, the underachieving disgrace, she was D.Kiran AKA player 6212!! Yes and she had arrived!

This world would be shaken by thunders of her name, those whom defiled her before that were still alive would have their backs broken to bow to her, this world would----

"Choose from these options or wait for the melting wave?" The mechanical voice asked.

"The melting wave?" She didn't wait to know but quickly picked an option before teleporting out of the depot.

In the dark space surrounding it, a dark empty laughter echoed through the space.

"I am not Kiran, I AM Player 6212!"

Everyone, not figuratively, turned to stare at her and Chima felt invaded.

Everyone knew how Kiran, possibly the toughest player on board hated to be called by, according to her, the name the Creators had branded her: Player 6212. Most people were present when she restarted another player from level 7 back to level 1 all because he called her player 6212.

So all called her by her real name Kiran.

"Why are you all staring at me funny?" Chima asked aggressively. They all quickly turned to what they were doing originally. She took a scan through the crowd of players looking at their body level, most of them were at 3, 4 or 5. But only some of them were near or had surpassed hers. At that thought she sighed in relief then suddenly felt shame at being the only body level 12 here, it was like a Primary four in a primary one class.

For elite players, looking at another player's status to determine their body level was useless.

When your body reached a certain stage, it allowed you to see the body level and race of others in colour.

From body level 1 to 5 was blue, 6 to 10 yellow, 11 to 15 purple, and finally 16 to 20 red which were among the strongest and most feared. And another mysterious colour set which was grey called Synthic rumoured to be the most powerful of all but never seen so never proven.

To know specifically a person's body level, the trick was looking carefully at the colours. Body level 1to 5. The lowest was an extremely pale blue while the highest was a deep blue. And so on with the rest.

Once you passed body level 5, you could change your race, for a fee of course. There were tens of numerous races to change yourself into with natural body armour and amazing natural abilities. Ranging from defence to offence to surveillance.

Once you passed body level 5 also, you could be restarted in any level without the worry of your body level also being restarted. Although you'd have to go back two body levels back but it was alright.

And that was what made Chima have relief.

Chima had seen Kiran's difficulty in getting to that body stage 7 and even imagining herself doing all that gave her a headache. But her new aim here in this new world was to be the strongest and reach the legendary summit level, follow her predecessor's lead of the Creators conspiracy and figure out anything fishy going on with them. Although she felt Kiran was being too suspicious as she was always a lone wolf.

A player approaching another to 'make friends' wasn't rare, but the only reason was definitely not just to 'make friends'.

The one approaching the other had probably saw something in the other and wanted to leach onto them and suck them dry of what they needed from them then dump them. Everyone watched out solely for themselves.

Some might chat freely with others but secretly everyone was afraid of being betrayed or of forming attachments that would prove hard to let go, so they all kept each other at leg's length.

As the other players chatted freely, a mechanical voice boomed from the speakers.

All the while some players were just standing around, most were walking towards the teleporter and disappearing to level 1.

Chima joined the rush and soon was standing underneath a teleporter, a see-through tube covered her.

The mechanical voice came again.

"You have twenty-four minutes to choose or buy your gears and pick which layer you want to start from, if you are not done by the end of those twenty-four minutes, the system will assign one randomly to you."

Chima nodded and touched some buttons, private gears and was shocked to see so many ray blasters like the one she'd used to attack the level five guardian.

Ranging from low quality to high top notch quality. Chima's eyes sparkled like a kid with too much candy. There were other weapons too but the ray blasters filled the gear collection. Chima wasn't sure if these weapons were her type but it was Kiran's body and she said yes so why not.

These ray blasters were called mech ray guns and the most powerful was a purple one with green venomous spikes but when she tried to pick it.

It showed that her body level wasn't high enough to match the weapon's quality and in short too dangerous.

She sighed. Guess she was stuck with the black one but it was cool. She chose carefully her armours and when it came to race, even though she had enough money to buy other races, she like her predecessor chose the human race.

The only clothes there to wear was an all black uniform with the player's number on it.

Although there were races to choose from, you could only change your race twice and there were 7 main races in the game. There were the cunning Vampires, scaly and stunning Pieces', the strong and hulking Taurs, the colonial and united Emmets, the playful Odonats, the hateful Repilis' and finally, believe it or not, the persevering Humans.

All these races except the Pieces' and Vampires were actual races in reality. Planet earth had undergone alot of changes without most of the humans on it. Chima stuck with her natural race like her predecessor.

She then proceeded to take a look at her stats.

Everything about her stats were normal.

Now last but not least, the layer to choose. Chima looked over the options and was lost, should she go fast or go safe?

If a player chose layer three, they could be allowed to skip a whole level, that was the reason why it was so tempting. However it was dangerous and so was layer four, which when played and passed allowed you to skip three levels, tempting too but...Everyone valued their lives.

Even she too.

Chima looked at the options, narrowed her eyes, picked an option and sat back.

The other players were done. Chima heard heard the mechanical voice again, "Alright players, your game will start in...Three,

Chima tensed up her body.

Two....One."
