Level 2.

Chima was enjoying a peaceful sleep when she suddenly received a painful shock to her head.

Apparently, the system didn't wait until the players had gotten their beauty sleep till they woke up but took matters crudely into its own hands.

Although their method was a bit shocking to Chima.

Chima first, checked her stats on the VR Game, she found the purple crystal in her inventory.

Apparently it was worth a lot, the Feathered Serpent was too an endangered species, actually the reason why the bunnies came to life, doubled in size and numbers was because they'd drank of its blood beforehand.

But it was a pity that she had found it only in the game.

After a black, lumpy, meaningless breakfast and a disagreement between a human body and an automated shower in an automated bathroom and packing up too, Chima was ready.

She walked out of the threshold into the inter-halls full of players going to and fro, she walked under a porter and waited and as the cyber green lights lighted up, she felt a bit nervous but she she braced herself up.

Chima planned her steps, passing level 1 would be too easy, she had some grudges and small scores to settle anyways.

But the only difference in level two would be the increased harshness and acidity of the environment and the levels of the monsters. With her skills and weapons, it shouldn't be too hard.

.....But just in case....

'Just so long as I won't die permanently..'

'Whirrrrl!! To to to! Whoosh!'

The portal sounded as Chima was teleported to the level one.

Chima felt the cold air of the level one hall on her face and looked around, there were not too many players around this early.

But they were up to ten.

"Player 6212..Passed on to level two."

She appeared suddenly in the sky and soon she started falling downwards.

"Ahhhhhhh!!!"

She wasn't shouting because of the fall, she was shouting because where she'd calculated she'd land was the breeding grounds of a Spidolf.

A cross between a spider and a wolf.

They were large 3rd level monsters and normally minded their businesses unless when hunting for food or when disturbed.

They were also cold-blooded.

Their heads were like a wolf's except that it had 12 eyes, half on each sides and it's ginormous teeth while the rest of their gigantic body were like a spider's, they had six legs on each side and two at the back were footed by black, large poisonous shaft. And at the body of the silk-spinning organ were spikes of the same kind sticking out of that region. Underneath it was a flat long snake-like tail.

This Spidolf was obviously just becoming a mother as a new Spidolf was breaking out a large egg, and Chima landed right on it. It was only a hatchling so it was killed right away from the momentum of Chima's fall. Chima stood up immediately to see the dead mangled body of the young monster.

"Oh my!..."

She had just murdered a baby. A baby!

First an actual Human Being then a baby what else was this stupid game going to make her do?

She put her palms on her lips in shock but she didn't have time to wow now as the Spidolf behind her had made her a new target.

Of course the reason why it was mad about Chima murdering it's young was not the normal reason a parent would be but because that was to be it's meal.

Spidolfs are cold-blooded monsters even to one of their own, the reason it wanted to eat it's young was because of its crystal so it could power up.

And now Chima had killed it destroying the crystal in the process.

Chima heard a loud roar as the low marshy water vibrated and immediately she looked, she let out a 'ough!!!' as the Spidolf whipped her with its tail.

If it wasn't going to have its meal, then it was going to have her head instead.

Chima hit her back hardly on a sturdy tree behind her and fell on the low water as she spat out blood and brought her short swords out in readiness for action.

The Spidolf watched her intently and she watched it with her heart pounding with excitement and as adrenaline pumped in her veins at full thrust.

Spidolf roared and rushed at her and Chima readied her swords, the Spidolf was fast as it swiped at Chima with all ten of its appendages while balancing on the two behind and snapping at her with it large teeth.

Chima was quick, dodging and blocking and jumping as some would come from under towards awkward places.

But the appendages were large and strong and she had some lethal cuts on various parts of her body but she lucky that one of them hadn't skewered her like a kebab to be grilled.

The Spidolf landed another attack but Chima dodged quickly and jumped simultaneously cutting an appendage at the base off.

The appendages were not so weak as to be cut off by her sword but the skin at the base was much softer than the rest part.

Black blood spilled out as the Spidolf let out a pained roar and at the same time used the sharp part of its other appendages to whip Chima away, making a large cut that split her arms half in two and also breaking her ribs as she hit a tree.

Chima was now severely wounded and as she looked at the Spidolf, a feeling she had never felt arose within her, it was angered murderousness.

If the monster didn't kill her, it would be because she killed it, if she didn't kill this beast, it would be because it killed her.

Around the monster's injury, white froth started pouring out from it into the marshy waters.

The froth spread immediately around it and Chima had a feeling that she shouldn't let it touch any part of her body.

Too soon it wounds healed and before Chima could do anything [as she was still very injured] the monster ran at her, this time with more swiftness.

Chima held onto her sword.

It pinned her against the tree behind her and brought up the two poisonous appendages at it's behind to her chest but before it could pierced it in, Chima tightened her fingers around the sword and pinned it in its left eyes, dragging across the rest five and half blinding the beast.

The beast backed off but only a little, screaming with pain and anger, it didn't bother tending to its injuries as it only goal was to rip Chima apart.

Chima had already found an opening and wasn't worried about anything else but just the timing for it.

The beast ran at her with speed for the third time and as soon as it was a foot away from her she ducked simultaneously sticking her sword into its neck and sliding, dragging it till she reached it end.

It's tangle of guts fell out as it too fell down dead.
