Chapter 4

"Like and comment if you enjoy, please...

...

" Enjoy "

She said with a smile, "I don't love you."

I replied, "It's okay since it contains the words 'I love you.'"

At 5:00 AM, I woke up reluctantly, disturbed by whispers of that stranger again. Annoying! Did he dare wake me up?!

"Wake up, bear!"

I abruptly got up, alarmed by his voice before looking around to make sure Lisa wasn't sleeping here.

"She's not here; she didn't sleep here at all!"

He remarked indifferently, lying down lazily, making me stare at him in anger. Great! He sleeps as he pleases and forces me to wake up.

"Why did you wake me up at this time?!"

I asked annoyed, trying to figure out where Lisa went. How did she not sleep here?! "Hmm, feeling bored?"

He answered nonchalantly before his face received the pillow I threw at him. Well, his sight was funny!

I suddenly gasped at the sight of the poor pillow. He tore it!

"Don't throw your silly stuff at me again!"

He said, content with that statement before getting up and leaving. I realized Lucas hadn't slept here either, as the masked one freely roamed inside the house!

I don't even know why I bothered changing into my other clothes, especially to go out while still sleepy, but who knows? Maybe he'll devour me if I bother him.

I opened the room door, grumbling in annoyance to see him standing in the kitchen, taking out some things from the fridge.

"What are you doing?!"

I asked, uninterested, as he gestured to the table.

"Sit and eat. You need to go out and shop well!"

What?! Shop? Why the hell should I shop?!

Shopping is the thing I hate the most in life!

"Why should I? I already have everything I need!"

I asked with annoyance, holding the milk container and pouring a bit into my glass. He just gestured towards my phone on the table, doing who knows what with it!

Convinced that I left it in the room!

"Check your messages!"

He added, pulling a chair next to me, making me look at him while preparing my toast. I love having a cup of milk with a delicious piece of toast!

I held the phone in my hands, entering the password in boredom, and indeed, my phone was about to explode with messages!

There were annoying messages from university boys, others from my classmates wanting me to explain the lesson, and a lot of Greco's trivial messages that I forgot to bring from the chat app.

I ignored them all, jumping to Lisa's messages, frowning.

"I won't be near you for a while, and I know you don't like to stay alone. Lucas will take you to our new house exactly at two in the afternoon. Go and buy what you need, clothes and books. Oh, I remembered! You'll miss me, my dear."

He straightened up, looking at me, responding quickly before approaching me with his last words, making me turn my head backward.

"Close your eyes!"

I didn't hesitate for a moment; I closed my eyes quickly, waiting for what he would do. I just felt something placed in my hands before his lips touched the skin of my neck!

Exactly on that strange tattoo.

"This will be painful for you and enjoyable for me!"

I couldn't grasp that sentence until I felt something forcefully piercing my body. It was painful, truly painful!

"What is this?!"

I struggled to say, trying to push him away in vain. My head returned to its pain as he passed his cold fingers on my neck, mumbling incomprehensible words!

He suddenly disappeared, and the pain disappeared with him. I rushed to the mirror to examine my neck, which was completely fine, but I was shocked to find myself imagining that the tattoo was glowing. Oh God, what did I do to encounter a monster?!

You know what? What I'm most afraid of is that all of this is just an illusion. That I only imagine seeing a monster and entering a strange forest!

"Damn it, just get out of here before I go crazy!"

I added angrily, pulling my long hair with my hands before kicking the ground, holding my card, and heading towards the city. I can't believe it's seven in the morning! Time flies when I see that creature in front of me.

Exactly at two in the afternoon, I stood in front of the shopping center, waiting for Lucas and his car. I never imagined I would buy so many things! I bought ten books and a lot of clothes and sweets.

"I'll go bankrupt soon for sure!

Half an hour passed, and I stood there like a fool, burning under the sun's rays, waiting for Mr. Lucas to grace me with his presence. I knew he deliberately delayed! In one of his messages, he told me he would provoke me a bit before my departure!

"Finally!"

I muttered, staring at his car that finally appeared on the road. I almost died waiting here.

"Come on, get in!"

He added nonchalantly after parking the car next to me. He completely ignored me, still on the phone, not caring at all. I opened the car door, cursing him!

"Take your time; I just fixed the car door!"

I let out an annoyed sigh from forcefully closing the car door. What's my fault if he has junk and calls it a car?!

I glared at him, throwing my bags onto the back seats where my belongings bag was. I pulled the seatbelt, starting the car's engine, and we were off.

The road became devoid of buildings, making me wonder. Trees started to appear, indicating we were completely out of the city. "Isn't he supposed to take me to our new house?! Wait, is he going to kill me?"

I asked him in surprise, seeing him walking into the woods before answering me with boredom.

"The house is inside the forest. Our friends live there, and they are peculiar, so don't bother them too much. It's better not to get too close to them!"

He answered briefly before suddenly stopping the car. I looked around, searching for this house, but all I saw was an old building that looked like a palace!

It was only a few meters away from us, and Lucas didn't approach it with his car, making me ask him why.

"Why did you stop the car?"

I stared at him, and for a moment, he seemed confused, but then he answered calmly.

"I can't get the car closer; it might break down. Take your bags and knock on the door until they open it! Oh, I remembered, keep these pills and take one a day. Don't ask me why!"

He didn't give me a chance to ask but just handed me my bags and lifted me out of the car.

Damn it, what should I do? Why is the situation getting suspicious like this? And why would sane people live in a place like this? I know well that this forest is dangerous and full of wild animals!

I walked hesitantly towards that old house, holding my suddenly heavier bags. Only a few steps separated me from the door, and yet, I stopped, leaving my bags on the ground to rest a bit!

Suddenly, an arrow appeared out of nowhere, the fastest turn around me in shock. Oh God, am I going to die like this?!

The arrow passed over my head as a massive body threw itself over me, saving me.

Oh God, am I still alive and well?!

"Are you okay?"

The guy asked me, helping me stand up, while I was still trying to comprehend that I am alive. It's scary!

Where did that arrow come from?!

"Sorry about that. You stepped on one of our traps!"

He continued, explaining again as I raised my gaze to look at him. He was a guy with Asian features and pale skin, with black hair and intense black eyes. I could glimpse that his arm was full of tattoos because he wore a sleeveless shirt!

"Yes!"

I added, trying to overcome my shock as he whistled before two huge guys came out of the house, apparently twins!

"Do you need us, Leader?"

One of them asked as they stared at me with creepy looks, making me step back. My crow-haired savior gestured to them coldly towards my bags.

"Kevin, tell everyone she's our guest. And you, Ken, it's better for you to start changing your routine. If I hear anything I don't like, everyone will pay the price!"

He added before turning to me again, indicating to follow the complaining guys!

It seems like my peaceful routine is about to change. Wait! I just noticed they called him the leader??
