Pregnancy?!.

"Rian, are you okay?" Sebastian asked, knocking on the bathroom door. "I asked if I should call a doctor, and you said no. Look, you're throwing up again," he added, concern evident in his voice.

"Why did you close the door? You should have let me in so I could help calm you down," he continued.

After a moment, Valerian came out, holding a face towel, wiping the water from his face.

"How are you feeling?" Sebastian, still standing by the door, asked.

"I'm good. There's no need to call the doctor," Valerian replied.

"Why not? You've been feeling this way for the past weeks now," Sebastian said as he guided him to the bed. "Sit down."

"I think it's just because I'm tired or something, but I'll be fine once I rest," Valerian reassured him.

"Are you sure? You've been sleeping a lot lately, throwing up frequently, always tired even after waking up, eating more than usual, sometimes losing your appetite, not interested in doing your DIY projects anymore, and having mood swings like crazy. Are you really sure you're fine?" Sebastian asked, his worry growing.

"Don't worry, I'm really fine. I'll get better soon."

"No, you're not fine, Rian. I should really call a doctor," Sebastian insisted, which made Valerian roll his eyes.

"I'm serious, I don't need a doctor. Can I go see Dave? I need to talk to him," Valerian said, causing Sebastian to sigh.

"Really? You're thinking of going to see Dave in this condition?" Sebastian questioned.

"That's why I told you, nothing is wrong with me. I'm sure it's just fatigue or something," Valerian explained.

Valerian grabbed Sebastian's phone and dialed Dave's number. When Dave picked up, Valerian asked if he could come over, and Dave eagerly agreed.

A few hours later, Sebastian dropped Valerian off at Dave's house before heading home. It was already 3 p.m., and Dave had returned from school.

"How are you doing?" Dave asked, pulling Valerian into a hug, which he returned.

"I'm good... but not really," Valerian admitted.

"Why? What happened?" Dave asked, concerned.

"Nothing, actually. It's just that I've been feeling weird for the past weeks now. Sebastian wants to call a doctor, but I'm scared. What if he makes me get an injection? I hate them," Valerian confessed, making Dave laugh.

"So that's why you don't want him to call a doctor?" Dave asked, still laughing.

"Yes," Valerian replied, rolling his eyes.

"Come on, stop laughing," Valerian said, lightly hitting him.

"I'm sorry, it's just funny. Okay, tell me how you're feeling," Dave said, his tone becoming serious.

Valerian listed everything he had been experiencing, and Dave's brow furrowed in curiosity.

"I really don't know. It doesn't seem like malaria or any other common sickness. What could it be?" Dave wondered aloud.

"Wait... let's search," Dave said, pulling out his phone. Valerian moved closer as Dave opened Google.

He entered the symptoms, and when the results loaded, the first thing that appeared was "pregnancy." Both of them stared in shock.

"Pregnancy?!" they both exclaimed in disbelief.

"No, that can't be. I can't be pregnant!" Valerian said frantically. "Check further."

Dave scrolled through more websites, and they all pointed to the same thing.

"Here... it says these are common early signs of pregnancy: fatigue, nausea (morning sickness), and changes in appetite," Dave read aloud, and Valerian broke into a cold sweat. These symptoms matched exactly what he had been experiencing.

"Check more about morning sickness," Valerian urged.

Dave read aloud again, "Morning sickness refers to nausea and vomiting that typically occurs in the early stages of pregnancy, usually during the first few weeks." Valerian began to panic.

"Oh God! Oh God! This can't be possible! I—" he stammered, anxiety rising in his chest.

"Calm down, Valerian. We're not sure yet. You're a guy, so how could you be pregnant? It might be something else," Dave reassured him.

"I know I'm a guy, but do you know that some of us with supernatural powers, or other types of beings, can get pregnant regardless of our gender?" Valerian explained, making Dave gasp.

"Really? That's crazy! But if you are pregnant, just tell him! He's responsible, isn't he?" Dave suggested.

"Yeah, I know, but it's not that simple. Just going to him and telling him that I'm pregnant with his child will make him go nuts! I'm not even his lover, Dave. I'm a prisoner— a prisoner," Valerian said, near tears.

"Calm down. You need to relax. Based on what I've read, freaking out won't be good for the baby," Dave said, his tone gentle.

Valerian shot him a glare. "Really, Dave? You're saying this? It's not your fault. You would know how it feels when you're in this kind of position," Valerian muttered.

Dave laughed. "I don't think that's possible," he joked, causing Valerian to narrow his eyes at him.

"Okay, okay, I won't tease anymore. But if it's true, I can't wait to see the baby," Dave added with a grin.

"Dave!!" Valerian shouted, making Dave chuckle.

"Okay, okay, let's check how to confirm if you're pregnant," Dave said, clicking the search bar again. Valerian leaned in, eager for answers.

"Here's how to know if you're pregnant," Dave began, reading from the screen.

"Missed Period... Nah, you don't get periods, you're a guy. Morning Sickness... You're already having that. Fatigue... That too. Frequent Urination... How often do you pee?"

"I don't know, it never crossed my mind," Valerian replied.

"Breast Changes... Hmm, breast change?" Dave asked, raising an eyebrow.

"I don't know," Valerian admitted.

"Okay, take off your shirt. Let's examine it," Dave suggested, leading him to the bedroom. Once there, Valerian took off his top, and Dave moved closer.

"Are your nipples usually this perky?" Dave asked. Valerian shook his head. "They do look a little plump. So, breast change? Yes," Dave concluded.

"Mood Swings... Yes. Food Cravings or Aversions... Do you crave food or sometimes not feel like eating? Or get irritated?" Dave asked.

"Yes," Valerian confirmed, nodding.

"Increased Sensitivity to Smells... Yes. Headaches... Yes. Temperature? Do you run temperature sometime?" Dave continued.

"Yes," Valerian replied.

"Okay, okay... It's like you're pregnant," Dave said, his voice a bit more serious. Valerian sighed and lay back on the bed.

"It also says to do a home pregnancy test," Dave added.

"What's that?"

"It's like a stick you pee on... I'll call Rihanna to get one and bring it over, and we'll figure out how to use it," Dave said, dialing her number. Valerian just nodded, praying he wasn't really pregnant.

"If you use it, the result will be the final say. It says here that it's very accurate," Dave reassured him as he waited for Rihanna to arrive.
