What's the plan now? Melanie asked as they got into the car.

I have no idea I'll try to track Lissa's scent and we'll see how it is from there, Adryan responded as he veered out of the driveway. What else did Melissa tell you about this guy?

Like I said, I don't know much.

What do you think he took her for, Melanie asked as images of the used condoms flashed in her head.

I have no idea, Adryan said as he made a call.

Adryan's POV.

"Hey Devon, I need info on Woods. Hit me with whatever you've got...friends, houses at the Southside, deals"

What's going on bro, Devon said over the phone.

Melissa's missing, Adryan responded.

Woah. You think Skylar's got something to do with it?

That's what it looks like, Adryan replied. Got any info?

Well I heard a huge heroin laced with fentanol deal is scheduled to hold around midnight. My guess is it's the Wood boys, Devon said.

Do you know the location? Adryan asked as he looked at his wrist watch.

Not exactly but it's at the Metro Line.

What's the Metro line? Melanie asked as Adryan got off the phone.

Somewhere I wish you'd never see, Adryan said as he headed deep into the Southside.

Melissa's POV.

*Just a little more, Melissa said as she chanted a release spell. Finally, the cuffs fell off and she quickly untied her legs and ran away into the darkness.

Skylar, where are you, Melissa said inwardly. What should I do now? Where am I even? She said as she glanced around but unfortunately, all she found were trees and more trees. She continued to run as fast as her legs could go as she stumbled on a gathering. She chanted a cloaking spell which enabled her to go unnoticed as she stood in the presence of the men that had tied her up to a tree and beaten her earlier.

Melanie's POV.

Adryan, we're in the middle of nowhere, Melanie said as she looked at the gigantic trees and felt the icy cold wind. It smells like death she said as she got out the car.

This is the metro line, in other words...Golgotha, Adryan said as he kicked a decaying skull away. Stay close to me Annie.

If I was a good witch, I'd have found Lissa by now, Melanie sobbed.

No baby don't be like that, Adryan said as he walked further. I'll find her...we will find her.

What if she's dead Adryan. It's past midnight, Melanie said.

She's not dead, I smell her scent. She's around here...somewhere, Adryan said reassuringly.

Bad aura, Melanie whispered but before Adryan could answered, They were suddenly surrounded by what seemed to be vampires.

I should've known, Adryan said as he transformed to his 18th wolf...Pheonix, the fire wolf. His formerly amber eyes turned a more deadly shade of red as he howled and attacked.

Show off, Melanie said as she transformed into her 18th demon...Nagas, the demon cobra. She grew yellow serrated spiky teeth and her eyes became as black as the night.

The vampires attacked Melanie with little success as she was too fast in her Nagas state. Adryan was also too much for the vampires to handle as he ripped their heads off mercilessly. The last vampire let out a blood curling scream that could be heard from miles away as Melanie ripped him in two.

Melanie, Adryan called out as he transformed back to his human state.

Sssss, She hissed at him as she transformed into her human state but stumbled.

Easy there Medusa, Adryan jokingly said as he caught her before she hit the ground.

Medusa, Melanie laughed as she steadied herself.

Yea? Adryan said. You went all ssss ssss on me. You're awesome Annie, I've never seen a Nagas in real life I almost believed it was a myth.

Well it isn't, She laughed in response.

Are you sure you're okay? Adryan asked as he studied her shaky movements.

I'm fine...it just takes a lot of energy to transform into a demon like Nagas. Come on, whoever took Lissa knows we're here, Melanie said as she continued to walk.

Skylar's POV.

Vermit, Skylar screamed as he struggled to escape. You can't keep me tied up Alonzo, I will break free and I will have your head.

You talk too much little brother, Alonzo laughed maniacally. For someone that has had 4 moons extracted you sure have a lot to say.

You shouldn't be surprised, Skylar retorted. I've got Alpha genes.

Shut up, Alonzo screamed as his left hand connected thunderiously with Skylar's cheek. You will not ascend the throne, 24 more moons to go and you'll be dead.

Coward, Skylar spit in his brother's face as he bared his fangs. Let me go and fight me like a man.

The time for fighting is over, Alonzo quietly said as he started extracting Skylar's 5th moon. He watched as Skylar screamed out in agony as his life essence was being sucked out.

Skylar, Melissa screamed inwardly as she watched on from her hiding place.

Melanie's POV

Are you okay? I heard Adryan ask repeatedly despite my efforts to hide my energy drain.

Yes Froggy. For the billionth time, I'm okay.

I think you should go back home. The metro line isn't female friendly, Adryan said as we walked forward.

Are you calling me weak? I stopped walking and asked glaringly. Do you know who I am?

Who are you Melanie Aiire? Adryan asked as he grabbed my waist and lifted me up like a feather.

Okay enough jokes Adryan put me down, I said inbetween fits of laughter.

I'll tell you who you are, Adryan said as he dropped me gently. You're Melanie Aiire, the most ravishing and stunning female I have ever seen.

Shut up Noir, I said even though my cheeks burned a crimson red. I'm not going anywhere until we find Melissa.

Adryan's POV.

I got a text from Daren, Adryan said as he read the message aloud. "Hey bro it's past midnight and a few of my friends from inside said it seems like the heroin deal is off. We confirmed it was the Wood boys but no one has heard from Skylar so far"

Something's wrong, Adryan said amidst frowns.

Does that mean we're too late? I asked confusedly.

If they've left, who ordered the attack on us, Adryan asked.

Melissa's POV.

*I have to do something, Melissa said inwardly as she casted a stronger cloaking spell and conjured giant sized poisonous snakes which glowed a sickening amber. She mind linked to her snakes to attack Skylar's assailant as she stayed hidden under the cloaking spell.

What is this, Alonzo yelled as he fought to avoid getting bitten.

Melissa fed the mind connection with more energy making the snakes faster and more dangerous as Alonzo's werewolf speed enabled him dodge the snakes.

Melissa pulsed the chains holding Skylar captive but they didn't come undone.

It's of no use, Melissa said to herself as she gave up trying to break the chains and tried to cast a protective spell over Skylar instead. It wasn't a perfect one but it would hold.

Ohhh Skylar, Alonzo called out manacially as he ripped open one of the snakes jaw carefully avoiding the fangs. I see you found yourself a witch whore who likes to play.

Feeling confident huh, Melissa said inwardly as she conjured more snakes and this time, Alonzo missed and got caught by a snake which spit poison on his face causing it to burn.

Arghhhhh, Alonzo screamed as the poison took its toll. He transformed into his wolf form and began sniffing Melissa out. Your time's up little witch, he said as he tore through the snakes as he was immune to them in his wolf form.

Skylar's POV.

Lissa, Skylar groaned as the telltale shade of amber revealed it was Melissa who was the conjurer.

*I have to help her, he said even as he felt half dead due to the extraction process. He howled for help with the little energy he could muster hoping someone was out there listening . The sound of his howl pierced through the eerie darkness and could be heard be heard from miles away...the sound of a dying Alpha crying for help.

Shut up you son of a bitch, Alonzo said as he rushed over to Skylar and slit his throat halfway, careful not to kill him.

No, Melissa screamed out loud as the gruesome sight forced the sound and air out of her lungs.

How did he get through my protective barrier?

There you are, Alonzo smiled as he went quickly towards her direction with speed second to none and swung his claws which connected with her ribs and left her crumbling to the floor. She scrambled up to her feet but he caught her and held her throat squeezing her life essence from her being.

*Melissa managed to conjure a minotaur which lunged at Alonzo and buried his axe in Alonzo's neck which gave her time to recover and to cast a stronger protective spell on Skylar.

Melanie's POV.

Dud you hear that Adryan, I asked as I hurried forward towards the direction of the sound.

Wait Annie, Adryan said as he chased after me and finally caught my wrist.

Why? I angrily asked. You're a wolf, I'm sure you're aware that what we heard was a howl.

No Melanie, he said sadly to me. What we heard was not just a howl. It was a howl from an Alpha crying for help, Adryan said as he stepped in front of me. We have no idea what we're walking into.
